*BANG*

A bullet was fired... Straight through his heart.

He stood still for a second. Maybe two.

Before finally...

He collapsed.

Dead on the spot...

Blood started oozing. Out of every hole in his body.

And a good friend at that.

So Tai could hardly believe his eyes when...

... he was staying over at Leon's house one night.

And he opened the door of Leon's fridge.

Peeked inside. Hungry. Looking for food. In the middle of the night.

And saw...

... a bottle of...

... mustard.

Really.

There was NOTHING in the fridge... except that... one bottle... of mustard... ?

"Hey, Leon! Where's all the food, man?"

Leon looked at him. Sheepishly.

And tried to brush it off.

First an excuse.

Then a change of topic...

He was too proud to admit that... their family had... no food...

But at that moment...

Tai understood.

In spite of all the difficulties...

... compared to Leon, Tai was living the good life.

No wonder Leon was so eager. To go to school each day.

It was the only place he could get some free food.

To eat.

To fill an empty child's tummy...

Starving through the night. Waiting for tomorrow. The only place he could eat was at school...

Leon would later go on to become diabetic.

Tai snapped himself out of his childhood daydreams.

Through much hardship, he made it.

I dont ever want to go back to that and I made damn sure my mom wont have to do anybodys dirty work ever again."

I understood.

Because I'd been there too.
