Hi, I don't know your experience level but where did you read this crap? Social bookmarking is still VERY effective. Sure, only bookmarks will only bring you this far but for a diversified backlink profile bookmarks are one of the easiest and most powerful links you can get.

Please don't just read something from your favourite "guru" that wants to sell you his new super special method to get top rankings and think that he will tell you anything helpful. Do your own testing man, SEO is all about testing things for yourself. Don't believe everything you read online. Testing things is KEY! Hope this helps you a bit man, I don't want to sound rude, just want to make sure you don't fall in the trap of marking everything you read online as a fact

It's very rare that EdwinSoft runs a discount campaign for their software because they don't really have to. They know they are putting out quality software and people are buying it because they know the value they get.

Matt Cutts himself said that social bookmarks are not as important as other links when interviewed by Danny Sullivan at SMX. He also said they probably wont be for the next 10 years.
They will still be a ranking factor just not as much weight as other forms of backlinks.

Oh yeah, this guy is working for Google and will of course always tell the truth and will help you to game THEIR system I don't claim that social bookmarks are the best links on the planet and will push you to the number one spot for the keyword weight loss or what ever.

But please do your own testing and stop reading SEO journals and watching videos from people that would get fired if they told you how to rank highly for your keywords. Of course you need a diversed backlink profile to rank for competitive keywords but social bookmarks are a part of this so why don't use them?

It might seem pretty expensive at first but when you think about it, if you just rank one keyword with the help of this tool and make just a few sales, you have already recouped your investment and can use it to rank for many more keywords.

sorry for the late response, I have been on vacation for two weeks (Copenhagen, Denmark is a great city by the way!).

A lot of research has gone into this list and a lot of hours have been invested in scraping and cleaning these bookmarking sites. They are mainly pligg, scuttle sites. BMD doesn't feature a lot of sites because I think the owners don't want their users to all hit the same sites at once.

I looked at this program earlier this year after hearing about some good reviews and experiences with it.

WhatI discovered was that there is a pretty big learning curve if you are a technologically challenged marketer.
The service itself didn't recommend those who were in that zone to take it up.

Its clear the software is pretty good. I looked at it and the price tag and then looked at additional costs that involved captcha code and private proxy costs and on top of the learning involved it wasn't that attractive 'for me'

I guess it depends on what you want to achieve.

For me this was a classic case of do I really need this to social bookmark - and are their better alternatives for me to use that will get me more bang for my buck.

I decided there was. Fiverr being a really good example.

But again i'll say that the feedback and reviews i've heard about this software are generally pretty good from what I observed.

The version earlier this year that you tried has nothing to do with the new version, trust me. It got a complete new look and a new way campaigns are set up. It's really easy now to set up a new campaign and once you have filled in your details and selected the sites you want to use you just press start and wait to get your finished report.

They also have some detailed training videos so even if you are a complete newbie you will have no problems using this software.

If you are a "normal" user you don't need proxies at all and the costs for a captcha service is really low so this should not be the problem.

Hi myfab, regarding your questions:

1. the software will automatically create a live links list so you can check all created links while the software is still submitting to new sites. You can always create a report with all the created bookmarks of course.

2. It has a built in pinger, so yes, you can do this but it is not a must.

3. yes, it depends on your settings if you get 2000+ bookmarks in one run but basically you add your link details, press start and BMD does everything else automatically (creating accounts, confirming emails, submitting bookmarks).

I agree BMD is a great software for building backlinks, the only problem I have with it is that it not used all the time then it can be hard to remember how the software works and navigating through it. Over all BMD has plenty of features and backlinking power.

With the new version 6 it is now very easy to set up a campaign so you will remember it even if you don't use it for a while

True story Bookmarking Demon is actually a trimmed down version of Ultimate Demon where you can only use the bookmarking submitter. UD is $47/month though whereas BMD is only a one time payment.

Sorry, BMD only works with Windows XP, Vista and 7/8. You can run it in a virtual machine on your Mac though.
