Yeah maybe you could do that.. but in the long run you'd just be shooting yourself in the foot. Just wanted to clarify that you CAN upload this to your own server I just got verification from their support team. BTW I have been using EVP for 2 yrs and I for one will be grabbing this after getting that info as all my stuff MUST be hosted by me!

I picked up the commercial version earlier today. It does some remarkable things. But one thing, maybe the most the most important from a business stand point is that, from out of left field, there is a limit on how many clients you can have using the system and that is set to 30. Not so bad you say? I lied. The limit is set to 10. Get ten customers paying you and using the software and go retire. LOL

Maybe it's just me but why would there even be a limit set? It's a commercial license.

30 is the number of user accounts you can create. What can a user do? Not much. Look at stats is about the extent of it. I guess that would be OK for hands off clients. So get 30 hands off clients paying you and go retire.

I have opened a support ticket with 9 issues last week. I have posted only 1 video. This 9-5 and 48 hour response support mentality is stupid considering I have spent $400 on a product after a week with no further videos created. I need to get this resolved over the next day otherwise I will ask for my money back. For $400, I would expect a very fast turnaround time on support. Sorry but this is the reality I have dealt with.

You need to take into consideration that over 1000 copies were sold in the past 72 hours. There are a lot of support tickets being filed so it may take a while to get a response (Easy Video Suite was just launched). What seems to be the problem?

I really am not interested in how many copies you sell, how long the response time is, etc. It has been over a week on this expensive product. It should be working out of the gate but it is not for me so I would like it resolved today, not tomorrow, not next week regardless of how many copies you sold. Sorry but I think that is a reasonable expectation.

I can tell you the video analytics although probably not the sexiest thing that EVS offers compared to the landing page creation as well as the other tools it offers, that is what has sold me, if you have a youtube channel check out your video analytics which is pretty good in its own right, its even better than that!

I bought it prelaunch but got it on tuesday and started playing around with it today I still need to move old videos over but from what I can see its definitely worth the effort.

Although I love it, I can appreciate for some people that are not in to video marketing will probably end up buying it because of the hype, that then just ends up gathering dust.

If video is an important factor of your business its well worth it.

I completely agree - there is a lot of hype behind Easy Video Suite, and there's a reason for that. Easy Video Suite is by far the best video marketing tool out there. If you are doing any type of video marketing - get it. If you aren't. Get it anyway and get started with video marketing because if you aren't doing video yet, you are missing out on a universe of opportunity.

You said you couldn't download the desktop app. How can that possible be Easy Video Suite's problem? I just downloaded it. As far as the SQL issue, I don't know since I am using Easy Video Suite as my host server.

And VidMarketing works perfectly fine. If you can't access that then it's definitely your problem.

Look it's obvious you have skin in the game and that's fine, but the member pricing was a kick in the teeth and EVS is from initial reports is no where near revolutionary.
Now it may be after a few updates but even then i think i will stick to EVP2 and a few addons.

That's cool. I think Easy Video Player 2 is spectular as it is. Easy Video Suite is just an updated version with more features and more benefits. If your comfortable with EVP 2 than that's awesome. The biggest advantage of EVS is still the video player. It offers a great video player with many skins, advanced statistics, delayed order buttons and many more features. IMO, they did an 'ok' job with the video recorder, but the video editor is not yet great at all. It needs a lot of work -- especially compared to Camtasia and other modern video editing platforms. No doubt though it will still get better over time, but I am just stating my opinion.

I got the upgrade from EVP2 and it's been an average upgrade. Because I still shoot the videos with Camtasia, the video recording and editing features didn't come into play. But the easy Amazon S3 uploading features, advanced statistics and advanced features of the video player still make it worth it.

You are allowed to add up to 10 users with the Easy Video Suite commercial license.
