Default Covert Social Press Review [Will It Live Up]

Covert Social Press is the latest Wordpress theme released by the IM Wealth Builders team. In simple terms the Covert Social Press theme allows you to create your own curated content sites with social bookmarking functionality.

However that really only scratches the surface of what this theme can do. Therefore I suggest you look carefully through this Covert Social Press review to gain a complete understanding of what exactly Covert Social Press does. In this Covert Social Press review I will explain how to use the theme, how much it costs, who it may not be suited to and my overall recommendation.

Who Created Covert Social Press?

Covert Social Press was created by IM Wealth Builders Ltd which is owned by Soren Jordansen, John Merrick, Cindy Battye. IM Wealth Builders has been operating since 2009 and has a well deserved reputation for producing high quality tools for internet marketers.

John Merrick was previously a senior programmer for Hewlett Packard before becoming IM Wealth Builders programming head. Soren Jordansen was an officer in the Danish army until 2004 when he began his internet marketing career. He is now in charge of copywriting for IM Wealth Builders. Cindy Battye is an Australian and former school teacher who began working with Soren and John in 2009 and now heads the networking and PR side of the business.

What Can Covert Social Press Do?

Basically Covert Social Press is a Wordpress theme which allows you to quickly curate content from the internet and create a social bookmarking site similar to Digg. It also includes membership site functionality so that visitors can join and then find and add content to the site as well. Finally it has advanced lead capture functions so that you can use the site to build your autoresponder list.

How Does Covert Social Press Work?

Curating Content For Your Site

To find content to curate you simply need to search the web for content that matches the subject of your website. When you find something that you would like to add to your own site you click on the "submit it" applet on your tool bar.

You will now be taken the "Submit a Link" screen. Covert Social Press will already have extracted the title and description for the post. You can also change the title and description to whatever you want. The administrator has the ability to increase the like counter. This can help with social proof and give your post an initial boost.

Next you choose an image that you would like to use with the post. You can upload the image from the website or alternatively you can select a new image from your files. There is also a selection of stock photos available as well. Once you click submit the post will be live on your website.

Export Leads

Another nice feature of Covert Social Press is the ability to export leads. This is the first time that I have seen this function available on a Wordpress theme. From the dashboard you will find under the "Users" tab, an "Export Leads" button. If you click on this button you will be able to download a CSV file which consists of the user details, including email address of everyone who has joined you site. You can then take that CSV file and upload it to your autoresponder.

Pop Under

Another great feature is the ability to add a pop under link. From the dashboard you can associate any URL with a particular curated post. That URL could be to a squeeze page, a CPA or a sales page. When visitors to your site clicks on the headline for the curated post a pop under will appear under their browser.

Other Features

Along with the features mentioned above you can from the dashboard add in advertising such as Amazon Associate products to the site. There is also the ability for members to bookmark and share your content on sites such as Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. And members can even create a reading list of their favorite content on your site.

What I Like About Covert Social Press

There is a lot to like about Covert Social Press. The ability to easily curate content from the web and add it your own site is fantastic. Creating quality content is one of the most expensive and time intensive tasks when you own a website.

I also like the social bookmarking functions and the ability for members to add their own content. This is much like the Facebook model of being the platform and then letting your members create the content.

I REALLY like the fact that this theme has the popunders for CPA offers. This sneaky little technique will allow for you to make a nice sum of cash. The real potential in this is also if your site becomes really popular you might be able to sell that popunder slot to an ad broker and make garuanteed monthly income off of it.

Lastly being able to easily capture leads and add them to your own autoresponder is a goldmine opportunity. As any experienced email marketer knows the money is in the list. And this is one of the easiest ways I have seen to quickly build one. This is POWERFUL.

Who Is Not Suited To?

If you have an existing project or website that you are already working on and you are not looking for additional income streams then Covert Social Press might not be for you.

How Much Will It Cost?

It is to be priced at $27. However in order to encourage people to buy early it is going to be sold on an incrementally increasing price model. Early buyers will get in at the lower price and it will steadily increase from there on. If you are going to purchase Covert Social Press it is recommended you get in early as this is a dime sale release.

Overall Recommendation

If you are interested in either list building or creating websites then you will want to take a good look at this Wordpress theme. This is one of the easiest ways for beginners to get started with internet marketing and an excellent ways for existing marketers to add another stream of income. This is a Wordpress theme designed by a team of experienced internet marketers who know what other IMers want and need.

I purchased this and ran into the upsell, that, once again, made me feel like I just bought a car without an engine.
I know it's standard IM practice, but I really hate it!
Can anyone (NOT an affiliate) tell me if it is advisable to buy the upsell?

Was the upsell of value to you? If not and you were mis-sold then I would request a refund.
BTW how much is it?

I am also considering this package. On the surface it looks v good.

Hi papeter. There's a 45 day guarantee, so I finally went ahead and ordered the plugin - $37
It seems pretty good, but I want to research a bit to see if it will help or hurt a blog to use it. Like most upsells, it saves you from a lot of grunt work.
I was planning to create a new blog and this came around at the right time. I won't know much about its effectiveness until I use it a while.

P.S. The car/engine thing is not referring to the product, but the sales method - again, standard practice. You click the button to purchase and right away they wipe the smile off your face and present you with a delemma and a manufactured urgency.
I would feel much better if I were offered the special price for a week, so I could try the product I bought and then have enough knowledge to know if the upsell is something that would truly be beneficial.
You know? Just let me be happy about my initial purchase for short while.
End of mini-rant.

ihateewe - news and information from across the globe

So far so good. For some reason the quick submit it link doesn't work so I have to manually enter the link in and 95% of the time it auto populates the header, description and then I can select a photo from the site. The odd time I have to copy and paste the text and save/upload a photo.

Register for mine and I'll return the favour

I've purchased both the Covert Video Press and Covert Social Press themes and have been very happy with them. They worked great out of the box. I did make some custom changes to both of them, but I knew what I was doing and wouldn't expect support with the custom changes that I made. These are great themes.

Hi cindy,

There is no such FB ID option or FB ID required field in the Theme option. This is really getting stupid. I provided my WordPress details for you for a reason - to login and check it and fix it. That's the second time I've mentioned that. Further, I find it silly that I had to mention the other problem being this one, didn't you read the ticket? That's why I'm saying this is stupid!

And it's been over a week and you seem to think this is ok because you make no apologies for it, again. Why do issues and delays like this keep happening with this service? You seem to not care about this because this is the second time this has happened. Why don't you just login, have a look, and fix the problem instead of this writing back and forth about stuff like a FB ID requirement that is not even in the Theme Options, which you should already know about because you created it?

This is really silly, stupid and a waste of my time Cindy, I don't see why this should happen again and again and again. I did provide my details so you can login to check it out and fix it. And again I don't think anyone should go through this, which you aren't taking very seriously.

I'm going to let Athony Aires, Brad Gosse, and the Warrior Forum community know about this. I've invested in three of your products, provided my details so you can check it out and fix it. I have a business to run and I'm not happy about writing back and forth over stuff you should already know.

I need this fixed!

Thanks,
Keeyong

Hey Keeyong,

We are sorry you feel that way. We are trying our best to assist you as we have all your other tickets. I did login and saw that you have the Sneaky Like set to yes.

The Like is supposed to be a stealth one in the background (that's probably the single most powerful feature in this theme). The Like button will only work if you are logged into Facebook or have your login set to remember. If you are not logged in at FB then the pop up for logging in will appear.

As mentioned in the tutorial video, this is a sneaky like and the status won't show. For 90% of users this will work fine.

If you still experience problems, it could possibly be that you may have a plugin installed that could be in conflict with the Like button. You might need to disable any plugins you have one by one to determine which on could be causing the problem.

When I click on the Like button it's not working, there's nothing popping up, i.e., the pop up for logging in is not appearing!

There's a problem with this plugin you need to fix for me.

Cindy,

The Like button not the comments. I have said this numerous times already. The Like button.

Copied and pasted from above:

1. "What about the other problem "Also the Like button is diabled on posts and homepage"

All Likes are enabled or checked as Yes in the Theme Options, but when I click on the Like button it's not working."

2. "There is no such FB ID option or FB ID required field in the Theme option."

3. "This is what I said: "All Likes are enabled or checked as Yes in the Theme Options, but when I click on the Like button it's not working."

When I click on the Like button it's not working, there's nothing popping up, i.e., the pop up for logging in is not appearing!"

And then you say something about comments rather then the issue of the Like button here:

"Per our programmer, comments have have been enabled, in settings->discussion they are set to enabled. But as the option says it only effects new posts. Any posts created when this option was disabled would not allow comments, only new posts created after this option is enabled will allow it"

Do you see why this is stupid?

Then I say:
"The issue is with the Like button not working not the comments. This is why I'm saying this is getting really stupid.

Please get this fixed for me and read the ticket properly."

I shouldn't have to repeat myself and copy and paste the above here for you.

I need this fixed!

Alright all is resolved!

I unchecked the mark for the sneaky Like Button located in the Theme Options.

This was a bit confusing and yes you can click the Like Button and the Like will show up as a post on your Facebook - provided you're already logged in!

[You still have to log into Facebook to Like or use the Like button]

You could at least unchecked it for me and then explain it like:

Go to theme options > uncheck the sneaky like button. This will enable the pop up to show then you can login to facebook to like.

Or to use the sneaky Like button:

Go to theme options > check the sneaky like button. This will enable the Like button to work by automatically posting the like to facebook without the pop up showing or requesting you to login, because it is assumed you're already logged into your facebook, hence no need for the pop up and the login. In other words, if you're not logged into facebook and you click on the like button, it will not work.

Therefore, both options require you to log into facebook.

I did provide my details for you so you could have done this for me and the issue would have been resolved weeks ago.

I'm sorry to hear about that Barry. I was lucky to figure out this one myself! These guys are busy creating plugins after plugins, but they fail to serve, I mean really serve; and so they get new customers while they mistreat current customers. The evidence is in the ticket as you can see.

Barry,

Did you jot down the ticket id number when you created the ticket? I think there support desk is having problems sending out emails. I had also created a ticket but didn't think to write down the ticket id number, and never heard anything from them. So I created another ticket and made sure to jot down the ticket id number this time, so I could go back to the ticket on their site, and they are replying to me on the support desk, but I have never received any emails, not even to my spam folder.

I also have issues with the submit it button. I get a "Page not found" error because the site is redirecting me to the wrong adress. Very annoying. I am waiting for some respons from the support guys. But honestly this seems to me as a very common issue and I was wondering if anyone could solve the problem already.

Four months have gone by and I still haven't received an answer. The software is absolutely useless and I have deleted it.
