Google Adsense - Can You Really Make Money With Google Adsense?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google. Website owners can join this program to enable text, image and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google AdSense provides a way for website owners to make money from their online content. You can join a community of publishers who turn hobbies into full time jobs and grown existing businesses. As you get started on your journey, look out for some key information to keep mind along the way. AdSense works by matching text and image ads to your site based on your content and visitors. The ads are created and paid for by advertisers who want to promote their products. Since these advertisers pay different prices for different ads, the amount you’ll earn will vary. You can get colors, fonts, and sizes for your text ads to best match your website. Everyone uses AdSense in a different way, so try at various combinations until you find what’s best for your website. Spending time on improving your site can ensure you get the most out of AdSense.

If you’re new to website building and don’t really get it and are thinking, “Google will pay just pay me for placing ads on my site?” Well yeah, that’s pretty much the concept; it sounds really easy on the surface, but there is some work involved. The key is building your website and then more importantly getting targeted traffic to that website. It’s not good enough to just put up a website and submit it to Google to throw some ads on and expect to be making $2000-3000 a month; it just doesn't happen like that. The key is to find a topic that you’re interested in. Let’s say you love to play basketball; you could build a 50, 75, 150 page site on basketball and help people improve their ball game, give recommendations on the type of shoes or basketball to buy. Whatever the topic is, it should be something that you love and that’s important because if you love it, you won’t mind building more and more content for your site. The more content you have, the more likely the search engines will give you more traffic and you’ll make more money with Google AdSense in the long run.

For example, let’s say you have this 75 page website on basketball and someone goes to Google and type in, “how do I improve my free throw shot,” well because your site has a lot of content and is well written, Google will rank you as a top search result. Let’s say on the right side of your article you have some AdSense ads related to basketball provided by Google and when someone comes to your site and reads your article on how to improve your free throw shot, they may glance over and click it, you can earn anywhere from $0.10—$3.00, just for that one click. Just imagine if hundreds of people come to your site every day and click on those ads, the money starts to add up. Basically what you’re doing is helping Google advertise and they’re paying you a commission for bringing traffic to their advertiser’s site.

The good news is that Google AdSense is the easiest way for bloggers and website owners to start making money with their sites. It really is easy once you have your site and have traffic. After installing the ad code onto your website, AdSense spiders will crawl onto your website to see what your pages are all about and then they check their inventory of ads that puts related ads next to your article.

You can even sign up to AdSense emails so you don’t miss out on the latest news, tips, and advice. You can also visit the newbie section of their help section to find detailed instructions on getting started. Log into your account today, create your first ad and see what Google AdSense can do for you.

Re: Google Adsense - Can You Really Make Money With Google Adsense?

I've been getting a lot of basic questions about Google AdSense lately, so I decided to write this article target for you beginners and newbies out there on AdSense. There are so many common mistakes that people make when first trying to make money with AdSense. I’m going to cover a few of them so hopefully you can avoid that same unfortunate fate that most newbies encounter.

The first thing I want to talk about is the click through ratio (CTR) – the percentage of people that click your ads; if you have 10 ad views and 1 person clicks, that’s a 10% click through rate. Google AdSense does not disclose what the average CTR is because that would open up to fraud. From personal experience, I’d say the average CTR for most people is 0.5%-2%; it’s very low, especially if you’re in a niche that is targeted to people who are familiar with the ads, webmasters, or making money – these types of niches tend to have a lower CTR because these people know that those are ads and block them out. Knowing that the CTR on AdSense ads are very low, you have to understand that you have to have so much traffic in order to make decent amounts of money. If you have a blog and you get 10 visits a day, 300 visits a month and have a 2% CTR, that’s only 6 people clicking those AdSense ads for the month and if you only get $0.05/click, you’re only going to make $0.30 for the month. If you have a low amount of traffic you can’t expect to make much with AdSense. In my opinion if you have less than 150 visitors a day, you shouldn't even partner up with AdSense; you should be focused on building up your website, your content and traffic and then join AdSense because AdSense can actually be a distraction. I see it all the time, people get excited about getting into AdSense and then they put up the ads, don’t see a high CTR and get disappointed, and get distracted by going to AdSense and trying to get another ad unit and adding them on different places on their site with different colors and what not; content and promotion comes secondary to earning money on AdSense, which doesn't work out at all. The problem isn't AdSense; it’s that those websites aren't generating enough traffic to make any worthwhile money with AdSense.

The other problem I want to talk about is the type of sites people are creating when they want to make money with AdSense. The reporter blogs that regurgitate common facts around the web don’t develop much interest unless you are adding your own commentary on the topic by writing about what you think or feel, or any advice you may have; you have to add your own feedback in order to develop interest. This is how you get subscribers and eventually long term success with AdSense. The more traffic you have coming in, the more people you’ll have clicking those AdSense ads on your site. Another type of blog that does not work well when trying to make money with AdSense is the personal blog – random things that are going on about your life; I’m going to be blunt, but no one cares. When you’re a “no-name” person and you are just writing about random things and no one knows you, the average person is not going to care. The only people you’re going to be targeting with personal blogs are your friends and family; from a strategic money making blog to making money with AdSense down the road, personal blogs are not the way to go. If you want to start making money with AdSense by writing blogs, you should start by creating a blog focused on a specific topic and become an authority figure within that niche.

The last problem I want to discuss is content. I know it sounds very cliche, but content is extremely important when you want to make money with AdSense. All content is not created equal; there are blogs out there with 20 pages of content that are much more valuable than blogs out there with 100 pages of content. Just because you have hundreds and hundreds of pages on your blog, doesn't mean those pages are worth reading, it doesn't mean that they’re interesting or have a fresh spin on your topic; blogs that are interesting have something fresh to offer, they’re different, unique and their content is written very well and organized. These blogs are the ones that get massive amounts of traffic opposed to blogs that simply have pages and pages of worthless content. Traffic = money with AdSense; so when you’re doing your blog, make sure you have great content because quality is far greater than quantity especially when it comes down to making the big bucks with AdSense.

Adsense sucks is becoming my motto.

I really believe the key is staying away from all things google in 2013

I'm seeing more bans are happening left and right. I've experienced a few site bans myself for no reason so I can also speak first hand and always thought 'it would never be me. '

I'd really suggest creating a brand thse days

Im going to be talking to you guys about how to create ads with Google AdSense. The first thing you want to do is log in your Google AdSense account and logging in with your Gmail account. Once youre in your AdSense account what you then want to do is go to my ads, which is the second link next to the home page button. Once youre there, you want to create a new ad unit by clicking on the new ad unit button at the top left hand corner. Then youre going to name your ad and choose what size you want your ad to be. There are a number of different types of ads that you need to be familiar with. The first one is your regular text rectangle skyscraper and banner ad; then we have your horizontal ads, vertical ads, square ads, and link units which are different links within a specific unit. If you want to see what these ads look like, you can view examples of ad types and sizes. Once youre there Google AdSense will show you exactly what the ads look like. You will see text ads, leaderboard ads, which are ads that have links first and the text to the right, youll see banner ads and skyscraper ads which are good for the side of a page, also small rectangle and square ads will appear along with all of the different types of ads within Google AdSense.

When you decide which size ad you want to use, you need to go ahead and select within the ad size panel. The next step is choosing which ad type; do you want text ads, text & image/rich ads, or just image/rich media ads only. On Google AdSense, if you choose text ads, itll only be text, if you choose image & text, itll consist of an image and some text, and if you choose image/rich media ads itll be an image or video ad; pretty self-explanatory right. Youll also see a backup ads option below if Google doesn't have an ad to provide, you can show it blank space or show other ads from another URL, or fill the space with a solid color. I usually choose blank space because I dont want Google AdSense to show an ad that has no relation to the content on my webpage.

The next thing youll see on Google AdSense is a custom channel grouping where you can group specific ads to multiple websites, you can go ahead and add a channel for each website. The different coloring options with each ad are what youll see next. Itll start out by being set to Google default, but youll have a classic grey, and few other options. If you change the color option, youll be able to see it over on the right-hand side of the page as a different type of ad. This is not the only type of editing you can do with the visual styling of your ad; you can go over and change the border and title colors by clicking on the desired color. You can actually get in and change the font family different font styles, as well as the font size.

Once youre done creating your ad on Google AdSense, what you then want to do is click on the save and get code button on the bottom, Google will provide you with some html code. Click in there one time and itll select all of that code, copy that and youre good to go. Now go to your webpage or Wordpress blog and you can actually paste it in an area where you want the ad to be displayed. When youre back at my ads options youll be able to see all the ads that you've created and get the code again, view the report for that ad, and you can even edit the ad type.

A friend of mine did it for a good while and made great money IMO. But like CBusiness said, they drop the ban hammer for no reason lately. You can appeal it but it will not much if anything at all

You can definitely make tons of money with Google AdSense if you have the right information and above all, dedication, consistency, and perseverance.

It's not easy but I assure you it can be done if you have the desire to succeed. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can fail if they REALLY try. This means NOT giving up out of frustration, etc., because there is going to be quite a bit of frustration. However, once you start seeing the revenue start trickling in, keep in mind if you can make $1.00 dollar a day, you can make $10, then $25, then $50+ a day!

Here's some sound advice for newbies; if you're starting out, pick around five different niches or so that have a healthy amount of competition. Find the best available keywords for each niche using a keyword-finding service and use one of the many excellent free Adsense guides found here on Warrior Forum.

I've had the best results with websites that have from 15 to 25 articles and articles containing a "main" keyword density of a little less than 1%. Of course, I sprinkle secondary, longtail, and LSI keywords in all my articles in a natural-sounding manner. 15 to 25 articles is not difficult to accomplish it all.

Once you find a niche that appears to be converting well for you in terms of cost per click and click through rate, then you know you have a winner. Start clustering a few sites around that niche, then move onto finding your next winning niche.

Before you know it, you'll have 25 to 50 websites all making you a nice amount of dough. Discard the losers that don't cover your URL and hosting expenses when their time for renewal is up! Then replace those with new sites/

It really is that simple. It's about launching website after website, assessing whether or not they convert well, washing rinsing and repeating.
