Today I'm going to talk to you about a very powerful book. This book is going to help you avoid failure, poverty, and lack of direction; it's going to help you gain more success, wealth and riches, and a strong sense purpose in your life. This book is, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. It's by far, one of my favorite books of all time.

Think and Grow Rich is the classic, original self-help bible. It's a compilation of all Napoleon Hill's thinking and life work. He basically spent his whole life interviewing very successful people, such as Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, and John D. Rockefeller, all the successful industrialists and hundreds of other successful people in their professions in the early industrial era early 1920s, the beginning of the century. Napoleon Hill interviewed all these men, studied their lives and basically came up with 13 principles of success that we could all utilize in our live and start moving forward.

The power of Think and Grow Rich will start to bring you more successes and riches to your life through these powerful principles, if you choose to apply them.

Napoleon Hill lived out these principles and was very successful. Most importantly, every successful entrepreneur I've ever met, every multimillionaire that I've known has recommended Think and Grow Rich to me. I've read this book 3 years ago for the first time and I was very impressed and interested with the concepts. Although I didn't fully comprehend them all at first, as the years have gone on, I've been able to achieve a better grasp on them. I've probably read Think and Grow Rich, from the front cover to the back of the book about 10 times, to say the least. There's a lot to learn from it, a lot of powerful notions and I must say that every time I read it, I gain something new of value from it.

Napoleon Hill brilliantly lays out 13 core principles in Think and Grow Rich for achieving success. Not only do these concepts apply to attaining the money you want, but really anything you want in life. These principles, in sequential order are:
  • Desire
  • Faith
  • Auto-suggestion
  • Specialized Knowledge
  • Imagination
  • Decision
  • Persistence
  • Enthusiastic Support
  • Organized Planning
  • The Power of the Mastermind
  • The Subconscious Mind
  • The Power of the Brain
  • The Sixth Sense

These 13 principles are deeply defined and discussed in Think and Grow Rich and have changed millions and millions of lives and still continues to do so. Today there are countless of successful people, both men and women, who state they wouldn't be in their position at this point and time if they hadn't picked up this book by Napoleon Hill. Do yourself and your future a favor and grab a copy of Think and Grow Rich, if you haven't already done so.

The book I'm going to review for you today is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. It's a book you've probably heard of many, many times. Think and Grow Rich is so often spoken greatly about because it attaches on the essential nature of success. It's comprised of 25 years of research that Napoleon Hill conducted by interviewing hundreds and hundreds of rich, successful men such as Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie and John F. Kennedy. He became personal friends with these individuals and in fact, one of the key ideas within the book is to surround yourself with people who are successful and play a positive impact on your life. By doing this they're actually influencing you and changing you into a better person. If you were to surround yourself with negative, depressed, unmotivated and unambitious people, you will eventually conform to their patterns and way of life. Today I want to go over a couple of the first concepts found in Think and Grow Rich, so you can get an idea of what the value of the book is.

The first powerful principle that Napoleon Hill talks about is desire. He talks about desire as the starting point of all achievements and says that unless you have a burning white heat of desire for achievement or success for whatever you're going for, you're probably not going to achieve it. My interpretation of this is that you can have desire and it's very important and powerful, but you want to have desire for the process – living your passion and purpose. You can't have too much desire as the other traditions teach us as far as the outcomes of those desires, but if you can develop a white heat, passion and commitment to the process of success and achievement and start utilizing that natural drive within you to start succeeding, use it now. You need to use that power and all the energy that's available to you and use it towards your goal and put it in the process, planning, imagination and the action that you take. This is the first powerful principle in “Think and Grow Rich,” as the power of desire is the starting point of all achievement.

The next powerful concept is faith – “The visualization of and belief in attainment of desire.” It's important to visualize what you want as if you already have it right now. Having faith now and being present with that visualization is what you already have; you're living that life and have faith that you're going to continue to create and move forward towards that dream life of yours. In the book, “Think and Grow Rich,” Napoleon expresses to use the visualization principle when having faith and believing that you will attain all your desires. It's important to tell yourself that it's inevitable to have that level of success you want and that there is no other option but to work towards it until achieving it.

Above are the first 2 of 13 steps to accumulate riches that are discussed in-depth by Napoleon Hill in “Think and Grow Rich.” The book lays out a formula for success and goes into deep meanings for all 13 principles. In addition, Napoleon provides real life, relatable examples from well-known, respected and successful individuals. Think and Grow Rich is definitely a book to keep on your shelf. You can never read it too many times because you'll pick up something new every time. If you ask any successful person what their favorite books of all time are, I guarantee you that Think and Grow Rich will be included in their top picks. It's time to grab a hold of your life and point it in the direction of where you want it to go and this book will help you do just that.
