My Little Brother Is Fighting Cancer!

My Little Brother Is Fighting Cancer!

Small-cell Carcinoma to be exact which is quite an aggressive form of cancer.

Greetings folks. Thomas from the Warrior Forum support team has graciously allowed me to post this here. Thanks Thomas! Your a good man and we greatly appreciate it.

Please forgive me if things do not quite come out right here because I'm typing this through blurry tear filled not to mention tired eyes.

My little brother is dying or shall I say 'living' for now with cancer. I have just now truly realized how fragile and short life can be. You know, the 'old, hey live it up and take it all for granted' because we have forever feeling that many people have had including myself. Well, now my little bro Rick has Small-cell Carcinoma (lung cancer) which is a very aggressive form of cancer. The cancer has spread from his lung to his left hip and leg so we are literally buying him as much time as we can.

Rick and I feel like we've just been 'slapped in the face' so to speak like never before. Please whatever all of you do, don't taken another single day for granted. Rick and I did and now we both know what a foolish way of living your life this is.

My little bro Rick lost his insurance when he could no longer work so we are struggling badly to get him to his out of town appointments for chemo and radiation treatments which is about a 61 mile round trip 3 times a week since we live in a small community and there is no public transportation. Any and all assistance would be helpful whether it be your thoughts, prayers or a donation.

I realize this is not about me, but just a little background info.. I have my own heart and lung issues which a few of you know about so it's not easy at all for me to make these trips, but I have to do what I can do for my little bro. I have 3 blockages and the left side of my heart is only 5% above what is considered the beginning of heart failure so I'm told by my cardiologist that I will need surgery sometime soon myself but I'm doing what I can here to help my little brother which is of the utmost importance right now.

This is wiping me out but as the old saying goes: he ain't heavy, he's my brother. I'll do this for him for as long as I can even if it's the last thing I ever do on this earth.

Rick has always been a 'worker' and a 'giver'. Always. You know, the kind of guy who helps everybody else and expects nothing in return.

Now the time, unfortunately has come when he can no longer 'be' the giver he has been his entire life and instead needs to be the recipient this time around.

Look guys and gals, I'm not asking for an arm and a leg here, just a small donation if possible or sharing of the links where ever you possibly can. Can you please do this much for a man who only wants to spend just a little more time with his wife, kids, grand kids and his brothers?

Rick's oncologist (cancer doc) say's if he continues the chemo and radiation treatments he 'thinks' he can give him 'possibly 8 months to a year' more, otherwise he will die within weeks, not months. Rick is currently 48 years old and we are trying to get him to hit the big 50. That's about a year and a half from now.

Even if you cannot help financially and believe me I (we) certainly understand that many cannot in these trying times, but could you at least please spread the word (link) for us. Any and all help will be greatly and honestly appreciated.

The link for this is ~> Help Rick Beat Cancer - He Deserves It! by Randy Koehler - GoFundMe and if you need to contact me directly feel free to email me here: tnmountainman@gmail.com and make the subject 'Rick's fight' so I know it's not spam. A buck, 5 bucks, 10 bucks, anything at all will truly make a difference. You can also remain

anonymous if you'd like.

Unfortunately, the GoFundMe site does not accept paypal so if you would rather use paypal, the email address above is also my paypal address. I've also made a little page for him located here: Help Rick Beat Cancer - He Deserve's It! Feel free to use it if you'd like.

Need a squeeze (opt in) page built like the one above? Half the money will go to Rick if you let me know you seen it through this post. That's only because we are not in the best of shape ourselves and I need to make a little cash to feed my family as well.

Your heart will thank you and so will Rick, myself and the entire Koehler family.

- God Bless

Sincerely and respectfully,

Randall (Randy) Koehler
