You are right. Review sites or sniper sites have been around for long time and they work!
The problem that most IMers have, including me, is the shiny-thing-syndrome!

Sooo many times i was like...OK...gonna buy a domain, install WP and plugins, write articles, promote Product XXX and make lots of money. Then in a few days...bam...another cool thing hits the interweb! And the process starts again...
