Post Elements Visibility (Signatures, images and avatars)

by 16 replies
Sometimes, you may not see your signature, avatar or image in a post. One of the most common causes of this issue is your account Post Elements Visibility settings.

What are post elements?

Post elements consist of these three: Signatures, images and avatars.

Example:

Once you post, it’s possible that these three elements are not seen. Images are viewed as links instead of the actual image, your avatars and signatures, even though you’ve set them up, they will not appear. This is because your post elements are hidden.

To show these in posts you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Warrior Forum account at: http://www.warriorforum.com
Step 2: Click on “User CP” on the navigation bar

Step 3: In the drop down menu, click “User Control Panel”

Step 4: Under Settings & Options found on the left hand side, click “Edit Options”

Step 5: Scroll all the way down and find, “Thread Display Options” under that you will see the “Visible Post Elements” and three check boxes. Click on those boxes to show signatures, avatars and images in posts and uncheck those boxes if you want to hide these options when you view the forum.

In the posting rules what does BB code mean. I ask because I tried to write a signature with a link to my youtube video and I got a message saying BB Colour code not allowed.
    Thanks.

I did this and it fixed my issue. I never turned it off (kinda surprised that the default setting for new members is to have it turned off, especially since Warrior Forum is charging $60/yr for using images in your signature).

I have a question though. When I view the same thread where now I can see my signature in a new browser I can't see the signature anymore. Does this mean that signatures are only shown to members who have turned on signatures and no one else can see them? If so, if I do a paid signature would it then show for visitors?

I have all those boxes checked and the only place I've seen someone else's signature on the whole forum is in the Warriors For Hire section. Years ago, signatures were always visible in the Main section and probably all the other sections too. Has signature visibility been limited as a result of WF's change of ownership?

it depends on what view you're using for the forum. If you're using the classic view, things are still the same as they were before.
