Using "Thanks" on the Warrior Forum

It's easy to thank a user for their helpful post on the Warrior Forum.

The thank you button is located below any post except your own posts and will be visible regardless of your post count.

Users are not allowed to thank their own posts and they have a limit on how many times they can thank others on a daily basis.

Well, the Thanks button just disappeared.

I probably gave about 10 thanks today, I'm guessing (I would've said less), and then the button disappeared.

IT'S REALLY STUPID TO HAVE SUCH A LOW LIMIT!!!!!

Really really really STUPID and ridiculous.

But then, it's Freelancer thinking, not Warrior Forum thinking and certainly not War Room thinking.

So now I'll "thank" you (not) for screwing with what used to be a beautiful IM meeting place.

    Grrr.

      Hi MarieDi,

We're sorry for the experience. As stated, there is a limit on how many times a user can thank others on a daily basis.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated and noted by our Team.

      Thanks!

Perhaps your frustration is clouding your memory. The thanks limit was in place long before Freelancer took over this forum.

      laurencewins,

Since your post hasn't been answered, I'm guessing the admins are saying

      No Thanks.

Because "Thank You mod" uses Ajax thus if allowing an user "Thank" too much on posts, it can affect to server recourse and loading speed of a website.

I am using this Mod for on my webmaster forum and also using thumbs up/ thumbs down on each post, it is working well. "Thank" mod is the best way to encourage a member contribute more useful to the forum.

I was wondering the same thing, where is this elusive button. Now I know.

How many times can a user use the thanks button in a single day?

      Thanks!
