Hey Guys, We're currently in heavy development on the feed at the moment and have been thinking about how we might go about improving the look and feel of the market place. One thing I'm keen to try is sharing the designs with you guys to get feedback about things we might have overlooked. Consider this a test of that idea. I encourage all forms of feedback I just ask that it's constructive. Constructive feedback here could very well influence the direction the marketplace moves! I emphasise again the following are the designs that we currently have in mind, but are open to some degree of flexibility. I'm sure the following will raise many questions I'll try and answer most of them as they come through. To get started though I'll try and pre-empt a few of them.
Moving on then to how the product pages might start to look. We want to make it super easy to fill in a few fields and have an awesome looking product landing page. The following example is with all the current optional elements we've been thinking of included. The idea is that the page will be constructed from different elements like 'Features' or 'Testimonials' and you will be able to simply add them wherever you want. The top title + image will likely be fixed in position so as to create a more coherent browsing experience for users which will hopefully end up in more conversions for you guys. There is also the potential to include a rating system moving forward but in order to do that it would only be available on products linked with warrior payments so we can understand who has legitimately purchased the product and who hasn't. |

Blog Entries: 4 | {scratches head} We have something here called the WSO section; is it possible that maybe you are talking about that? Or did you actually intend to post this on some other unrelated website? In any case, with all of those ads for human trafficking, I'm pretty sure your upstream will be taking the site down shortly. |

I think post number #2 is a fair reflection of the future here if nothing is done very soon. |

It doesn't look like the Warrior Forum at all. It looks very commercial, like just a site that says give us your Money!.. I have to admit I am a bit confused. |

There is only one answer to your question: PLEASE stop trying to fix what is WORKING! The WF is NOT A SALES PLACE FOR YOU. And for the rest, I, for one, think the so-called "Web 3.0" one-page sales "sites" are everything but sales friendly. Please KISS : just in case you didn't know that one 'cause it's too old: Keep It Simple Stupid. Marketing rule #1: Do everything so it's easy for a 4 y.o. S I M P L E Don't touch anything. Wait until the MEMBERS start asking you to modernize. THEN the time will have come to modernize. Not one second earlier. Marie |

Just in case it's no longer clear: Post #2 was some drive-by nonsense that has since long been deleted. He was not referring to my post, which was #3 at the time, but has since slid into position #2.

Hi Moss, Can we get an update on the future direction that you have laid out in your OP? Any additional comments or input you can make now? I see WFMarcus has recently made a post about what types of deals WF should run etc... Maybe you can give us some insight on what changes you have planned for the marketplace and some insight on deals promoted by WF, and any upcoming changes that are imminent? Thanks -don |

It is only going to be more promising for online marketplaces. At this moment, it may seem that many start-ups are jumping on the bandwagon to create their own online marketplaces. Naturally, that leads you to think that marketplaces are going to be oversaturated in no time. Boy you’re wrong. There are still innumerable industries awaiting disruption and various verticals to delve into. The fact that tech has sped up the collapse of sunset industries and emergence of sunrise industries, be sure to see more of the likes of Uber and Airbnb arriving onto our shores. |

Groan, Graphicriver did a similar thing, they had a good forum, but management eventhough most hated the idea, still went ahead with merging several niches all in one. Now, we have to sift through WP, and other unrelated crap in order to get to what l am good at and want to help others with, (flyer designs). Not including after scrolling through crap to get to sections actually related to graphics, then after answering one question, having to scroll through it again to get back to the same part. Probably explains why l don't go there as often as l did! Creative market, does the opposite, they create the best site, visually as well as functionally, then leave it alone, or make minor changes ONLY! I would recommend that the Mods here visit both sites forums, and see which one is a dogs breakfast and which isn't. |

I'm not entirely sure I understand your entire post, but as far as this point, one thing that I do a lot is to open posts in a separate browser tab, so that the original list remains exactly as I left it last. This allows me to later continue without having to scroll down additional times. Hope that helps.

The GR mods also made other changes, which no one wanted, and a year later, they still aren't as good as once was. When a corporation has several people in charge of one division, then it usually ends in dogs breakfast decisions. At least til the Manager or CEO steps in, to fix it.

Some idealists may believe it is a community of "people helping people." Make no mistake, most of what goes on here is motivated by members hoping to making money somewhere along the way.... The current owners wanting to make money makes them no different than most of the members here. I always get a good laugh when people complain about "being sold to" in a Marketing forum. :-)
