Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status The Warrior Forum Returns To Paid Membership! Option 1: $10 for Warrior Forum Registration. We were getting over 1000 sign ups a day and the vast majority were spammers and affiliate cookie stuffers. As we see in the tests already this small charge has stopped most of them which is a huge drain off the forum. As always, good people suffer because of the bad. Joining with option 1 will allow you to have space for 100 Private Messages and be able to access the new Registered Only forums we'll be coming out with, such as the Build Your Viral Traffic Network forum that was just created. Option 2: $37 for War Room Membership: Those who upgrade to War Room Member will be able to: * Post Warrior Special Offers (Special Offer Posting Fee Still Applies) * Get Instant Access To The War Room * Able To Create Thread In Warrior Joint Venture Forum * Be Able To Create Their Own Warrior Forum Blog * Be Able To Create Their Own Warrior Forum Social Group * Will Have No Restrictions On Private Messages And Will Be Able to Store Up To 400 Messages If you would like to Upgrade to a Full Warrior Member just sign up as a War Room Member using the link below: Click Here To Upgrade (Upgrading Is Only A One Time Fee - Not Monthly) Why this change has been made: The forum is getting overrun with "less than acceptable" people who have discovered how easy it is to make money with Warrior Special Offers and that they can get a site indexed within minutes by posting a junk blog on the forum. I deleted 7 blogs last night that were made by people with zero posts to their name. These are not serious members, these are spammers. It's been my experience that people who pay for something respect it more and are at least willing to read the rules. I know this will not stop all the problems but it will drastically cut down on them. Thank you for understanding.. Allen If you need more reason to join the War Room..check out these threads.. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Thank you Allen! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Best news I've heard in a long time! It was getting so a person couldn't even take a leak around here without hitting somebody else! Thanks Allen! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status at last! A decisive kick in the butt to get me into the war room :) I've been procrastinating on this for months now so looks like it's time to pay up |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Agreed Allen...got a bit daft recently. Appears more and more spammers are telling more spammers to post one liners here! Rich |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Hi Allen, Great news! Yeah, it was getting pretty out of hand here. Thank you for cleaning house! Dennis |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status I understand why you did this. However, I can't help but feel sorry for the people who would be new and would give quality contributions to get their post count up and then run a quality WSO. I know that if they have something of worth to sell, the $37 + the $20 WSO fee would be made back. However, for some people, that extra $37 up front is a huge hurdle. It's a shame when the minority have to ruin it for the majority. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status You ever feel so happy you just want to sing and dance? :) :) :) Thanks, Allen. All the best, Michael |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Pete, I think you may be misunderstanding. You can still be a free member. You just can't post a blog, run a WSO, or have a lot of stored PM's. Quote:

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status When I have an offer, I'll join. In the mean time I will continue to lurk for the most part. Anything you can do to reduce spam is A-OK with me. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Excellent decision, Allen! John |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Great move Allen ... thanks for caring for the forum. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Glad to see it. The warrior forum has been quality for years, let's keep it that way. |

That being said, I think it's a good thing for EVERYBODY. First, they still have some access to the awesome information here. If they are not able to put enough of that into action, then it's a good lesson. Second, they're never going to make their $100s or $1000s or whatever if they can't even come up with $37. What I'm getting at is maybe they will treat IM like a business if they have to pay about as much as it costs to subscribe to their favorite magazine (or a month of cable, or a bunch of other examples one could mention). All in all, it's an incredibly positive development on ALL sides of the fence. All the best, Michael |

Jason, Anyone who knows me from years back know I've always been the same way. However, things change. If what is going on now is allowed to continue this forum will be another DP in less than 6 months. The way I've done it I've made sure that those needing a hand up can still get it. They can still browse the forum freely without paying a dime for anything. Allen |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Sounds like a great move to me. Everyone will benefit in the long run, and the short run for that matter. I'm all for it. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status What about current WSO's run by non-War Room members? I hope those are allowed to run their course. I've bought some, and have to continue to pm the sellers-- because they're trying to get them to work on my hosts. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Wow. Thanks for doing this Allen, I joined up as a war room member a couple days ago and felt it was the best thing I ever did. Now its more than the best thing I ever did! :) I got in just in time. I also like the idea of letting people browse with out paying a dime. There are many goldmines to be found without paying for them to give newbies a leg up:) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Allen, even though I am a War Room Member, I was made one in the early days for whatever reason (can't remember because the Alzheimer's or whatever the hell I have wrong with my memory is setting in) and didn't have to pay. I'd like to now make a contribution and become a true paid member. If I go to the upgrade link (being that I am a War Room Member already) will that screw things up? I don't want to break the system. If it will make it easier to just send the $37 to your PayPal account, I can do that as well. I have enough WSO receipts to be able to find where to send it to. Let me know how to handle this. And thank you for the best forum on the Internet hands down. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Awesome. Happily I'm in the War Room. I think this is good as we'll have more quality WSOs and such and less quantity. Kudos! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Allen, Thank you! I've been on the watch for a specific group to arrive here for a while and I believe you just nipped that in the butt. Now I can relax and get some rest/work done! Enough said. Have a Great Night. Michael PS. If you want to know whom I was worried about and why just PM me. I believe you already do know. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status I'm not against the paid upgrade. But, on further reflection, I think this will devalue the War Room. Up until now it was populated by members who "chose" to be there. Probably due to someone elses recommendation, as in my case. I joined the War Room before I ever visited the forums, including the WSO. Now, all the spammers who want to stick here will also be in the War Room. Even though they might not of considered it otherwise. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Hallelujah!!!!! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Hey Allen, Have you considered using the "thanks" as a way to qualify for WSOs? Maybe require someone to have 10 "thank you's" from 10 different Warriors before they could run a WSO. And each Warrior would need 100 posts in order to give a thanks. It's fairly hard to get a thank you and it would mean that the posts made were of high quality and a help to the community. If not, I'm still happy with the new changes. Those one line posts were a real pain: "Thank you for the good information." |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Heh, I was wondering why I suddenly had a PM limit of 10 instead of 400 (or whatever it was). Well, it's getting late tonight and I still have some other business to take care of. I'll hit up that paid membership tomorrow. This forum has made me enough money just through sheer wisdom gained that I owe a bit back anyway. I certainly don't want another DP! Kudos to the admin for taking charge and cleaning things up. It's really difficult in a tight knit community to make bigger changes like this, but they almost always work out for the best in the long run. And since we are all here for the long run... |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
It won't really be a problem. The War Room is moderated so only the type of posts that are ok will make it in. Plus I think once a lot of the new members see how things go in there they will also have some great things to contribute. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status IMO this is a good business decision. Those who understand the value will pay, the others will join eventually. And the unwanted spammers will stay out. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Very good indeed! Everyone pretty much can still do their thing, but if they want to try to "take advantage" it is going to cost them a little coin :) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
That's an interesting idea Kurt :-) I just wonder how long it would be before someone tried to sell 'thanks' on DP...LOL! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Amen brother! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
Other than that, reducing the amount of junk will be a good thing. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Allen I will be very happy to see the WSO section returning to the level of quality I expect from the WF. I have been a wee bit dissatisfied with the WSO of late, but bit my lip due to the respect I have for our relationship. I believe this spot of house cleaning is just what is needed. Thank you |

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Excellent decision!! Way to go! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Thank you, Allen. I think this is a good move for our beloved Warrior Forum. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status EDIT: This in reply to Jason V (Weird, no quotes this time) I can't only partially agree with this. Yes, $37 may be a hurdle for some. However, this is business. If a Warrior can't invest $37 in their business, they would be well advised to start writing resumes. Building a business calls for commitment - commitment of your time and money. If a Warrior does not have $37, I would highly recommend they cancel their cable TV, give up a dinner out, forego a night at the movie theater, say no to ordering in pizza, stop smoking, take the bicycle instead of the car, do whatever it takes to save some money to invest in your business. If you can't make that kind of sacrifice, you are not a true Warrior. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Whew - glad I joined! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status I was scared when I saw this cos there is no how I can pay because paypal hates Nigerians but thank God I already joined the war room months ago. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status It's a shame, I literally only have about $11 US to my name. :(. It's good though, at least this place won't end up like DP ^^. -Aidan. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Thank you .. Thank you .. Thank you! Jeffery 100% :-) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Allen, Sounds good. I hope it helps make things better around here, like in the good ol' days! :) Quick question: Is this going to change any of the rules and restrictions currently in the WSO forum? Like the 30 posts rule, PM rule, commenting rule? Also, did you see my thread about WSO Pro today? Would like to touch base with you about that. Mike |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
It would have to be just slightly less :-) You have to remember we're talking about human nature here. There will be tons who will dig their feet in and die and go to hell before they upgrade. The truth is it's only going to be a few more a day joining the War Room. Not as many as you would expect. Out of the huge number of people who register here a day only a very small fraction are serious. The rest are spammers, blog abusers and have their sights set on making money in the WSO room by running up 30 posts real quick. The vast majority of those people will not pay to upgrade, which is a good thing. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status hey Allen, I have a couple of questions. Quote:
Just curious as I was thinking of putting up my first WSO. btw,WF is the best ;) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
serious chunk of income for the forum, which I am sure takes a serious amount of money to keep running. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Well, I've just paid my AUD$45.05. I think this means I'm serious about this IM thing. ;) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Exellent decision Allen! This will definitely increase the forum's professionality. Thanks for making the WF a better place. |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
Hi Mike, Yes the 30 posts rule is going away. Send me a PM for other details... |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status I just joined war room 1 week back. Just in time :) |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
The WSO fee still applies. This is just to help cut down on the number of them and the useless posts that resulted from the 30 posts rule. Thanks! |
Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status Quote:
So, am I correct in assuming that all members will still be able to view/post in the WSO forum, but just not be able to post a WSO unless they are a paid War Room member? WSO are already moderated, so this may not be a big issue, but don't you think if a spammer was already willing to pay $20 to post a WSO, that paying $57 will deter them? Mostly just thinking out loud here... I'll send you a PM about the other stuff. Mike |
