There's a banner with a different background color - Is this allowed too?

Are you using the same banners?

The only change in the traffic is more, growing slightly all the time. However, only 37% of that traffic is new visitors. Most of those are junk traffic that only stay for a second or two. The bulk of the traffic here is from returning visitors and members. So if your offer remains the same that could explain it.

Not sure other than that. Definitely no drops in traffic..

No definitely not. It's hard for us to see the difference when moderating banners because they are much smaller and that pink background (whatever that color is) didn't show up. It slipped by.

@admin (Allen)

I had upgraded to a War Room member to get banner ads approved. Is something going wrong with the guy who approves the ads?

I have been seeing a lot of open slots lately and my ads haven't been approved for the last 48 hours. I am looking into promoting a product using my very own strategy but if this gets any late that I am afraid I won't be able to win the game

Can you please look into the issue Admin? Allen?

I get your frustration. Post the ad just one more time and wait a week.

If it isn't accepted within a week than you should contact support. The WF has a helpdesk here which gives quick support - however, the admin rarely answers to questions himself because he is very busy. But, obviously, it's not a problem since he has a great support team.

Click here or the "Help Desk" link in the menu to go to the WF support desk.

Lately ads have also been hard to get due to the competition.

Hope your ad gets approved!

Yes however it maxes available. Currently there is 10 everyday spots available. Judging because of the responses from some of the advertisers I'm sure that web site will shortly be essentially the most watched within the forum, selling out everyday.

Sorry guys
I wrote a long thread about how to get approved
but the mods deleted it.
i'm really quite confused as to why.
Using the wf ad interface is a long and tricky process.
I think i've figured it out
Sorry it appears that my guide got deleted.
good luck everyone

I've submitted my banner multiple times over the past 6 weeks and have yet to get it approved, it fits all the criteria and even the WF help desk said it fits and looks fine, yet it still hasn't gotten approved, anyone else experiencing problems like this? I've resubmitted it 3 times after it falls off the list after 2 weeks.

I wonder if its the link itself that they are disapproving?

problem is they dont tell you when or why they hit the disapprove button.

Best way to start is to right click on one of the existing ads that you like, and save this to your hard drive - then edit in in photoshop so that its unique. And then submit that ad and just see if it goes through.

I've tried 4 different ad varieties - I wish they would just let me know, if it's the offer or something then I can stop wasting my time trying, I don't care and I understand it's their forum.

Is the 10k size rule not applicable anymore?

I downloaded a couple of the banner images and they're over 10k.

I ask because I have spent ages in the past trying to reduce the file size and it appears it doesn't matter.

Is there a waiting list I can go on for a banner ad? Seems everytime I try the spots are all filled. Also what is the price now? Are there any other/new options for promoting a WSO within the WF directly?

Fair play to Reno X who has 6!!! Banners... lol.

It's a bit unfair unless he created other accounts and has 1 banner for each account but surely there has to be a fair limit for Warriors here

My experience is that it sometimes takes quite some time to get a banner approved. I can imagine there are quite a few of them every day and spots get taken fast.

Cheers

Not every day, it just depends on how many spots are available. First come first served I think. On Saturday there were about 5 spots available for about 6 hours or so, no one took it so I re-activated mine.

Cheers

There's 4 open spots, would love to see it up there.

I double checked-we're in line with every single guideline

I'm really not sure how the process works with getting them approved. I usually upload about 2-3 banners, sometimes it is approved in a day, sometimes it can take a week or so.

I don't know why people are saying it is impossible to get banners activated though as I often do see a number of free spots available, including over the last 8 hours or so, 3-4 spots available..

yup, made to the correct specifications.

Only red, blue, and black in the banner. And it's 6.14k in size with the dimensions 781x76.

Not sure then, you might just have to be patient until it's approved.

I am having the same issue!

Contacted wf support, they said:

"It can take up to 14 Days before a Banner will get reviewed and approved."

Doesn't really make sense. I really wanna see my ad up there!

How many clicks/hits/traffic do you normally get from posting a banner here?

I assume it's quite a lot.

I'm tracking all my banners whenever I advertise, depending on the banner, I usually get about 110-130 unique visitors per banner per day. However, when I keep using the same banner, this drops down after a few weeks to 60-70 so it pays off trying out different banners.

Cheers

Come on Allen, throw a tip my way....when will the next spot be open? I'm on central standard time.

A clue, a puzzle, anything...throw me a bone.

I'm driving myself crazy with the refresh button.
@LegitIncomes Maybe you could check each hour, assuming they expire that way, like rounded up to the next hour. It's the luck of the draw!

@admin How did he know his subscription was up? calculated it in his head? received an email notification beforehand, sat at the screen and refreshed until it showed itself expired? Do they have a visible timer?

@JayoThat would be pretty cool if you could have the option to change the url the banner links to. Is this an option? Are the banners hosted on WF?

@admin Wouldn't it be immediately open for renewal if you're sitting there right when the time expires?

Check out current running ad/s for examples at the top of all content pages on the forum.

Here's some rules about the image:

* Must Be Exactly 781x76 In Size
* Must Be Clear/White Background With No Border
* Must Be Text Style - Blue, Black And Red Text Allowed - No Blinking, Flashing or Twirling
* Must Be Under 10k in Size

In general - keep it as professional looking as possible. It needs to look like a text link - not a banner.

To submit a banner go to: http://www.warriorforum.com/paidbanners.php

If you don't do design, please get someone to do it for you. If the banner goes beyond ugly it will not be accepted.

Note: Ads promoting other forums, directly or indirectly, will not be accepted.

Note: Be sure to check your spam folder. You will get an email upon approval of your banner and some have reported the message ends up in their spam folder for some reason.

Note: Please Pay Very Quickly When Your Banner Is Approved - SpotsWill Not Be Held For Hours On End - It Will Be Deleted And Opened Up For Someone Else.

That's about it.

Thanks!

Allen

P.S. A green banner was approved but when that runs its course no more colors like that will be accepted. The text must be in blue or black...Any shade blue, any shade black...doesn't matter as long as it is one of those colors.
@adminJust wondering, do you have an example of a really ugly banner that would not be approved?

How many hours will it take before the banner is deleted if payment is not received? What is the time frame between not paying and getting deleted?

So, we are not allowed to promote offers on any other sites other than our paid threads on WF? (re:Ads promoting other forums, directly or indirectly, will not be accepted)?

In every single case I know of, when the banner points to a Warrior Special Offer it makes far more money than if it leads to a web site.

The social proof in a WSO thread is extremely powerful and should not be ignored.

I can only tell you my experience and test results. Yours may be different, but I highly doubt it.

In my opinion the best use of the banner spot would be to use it after a WSO has been open for a day at least. You want some initial responses to your WSO, then send the traffic with the banner.
@admin In your first point, are you saying it is allowed to point the banner to offers on another site? I'm confused about this as your previous statement (that I quoted above), says "Ads promoting other forums, directly or indirectly, will not be accepted".

If you (or any other member) has the time, can you explain what this means, please? "social proof in a WSO thread"

Finally, How do you get your test results?

Caleb
@Caleb Spilchen I think it was a green banner. I don't know what you have to do to get colored banners approved, unless it was a mistake - since admin said there won't be any more of those. I would like to know how many impressions the banner/page/site gets. Still haven't found the answer to that yet. But here's an alexa traffic trend, if you can make sense of it

@Rob Howard This is where I'm confused. I don't know if the banner has to link to WF pages only, or if we can link them to our own site or forum. I've read a lot of posts in this thread already, and I'm getting a little bit straightened out, but still confused ...

@AidanKay It's true, making the banner look attractive by underlining the blue text to make it look like a link the right way, will ususally induce a click. Is this a service you do for free?

Seems a bit unfair to have these ads appear in people's paid for WSO threads.
@Andy Fletcher That's true, it might cause a potential customer to click off your offer page before they even have a chance to read it. WSO threads are paid threads, right? It would be nice if WF would offer free banners on the site as part of the benefit of paying for a thread.

@Mukul Verma The admin recommended to do so in order to generate better sales "In every single case I know of,when the banner points to a Warrior Special Offer it makes far more money than if it leads to a web site".

@Sheryl Polomka You're right. Especially when a marketer is shelling out for the privilege of creating a sales thread, then paying for a banner to link to it all on the same site. The banners should be free for the paid sales thread. lol. Well its just a thought, dont want the site to go bankrupt.

@Mukul Verma Ive seen this asked several times, but I have not seen an answer yet. But here is a link that might help you compare impressions (if the image doesnt show up, just click the url and it will take you to a site ranking list) Hope this helps with your campaign(s).

@tryinhere That would be a great idea if you could get all the ad spots to be available at the same time. It seems like it's fairly difficult to grab an ad spot and get it running for just one campaign. It might be ten times more pain doing it the way you thought of.

@Tristan Bull Okay this is good to know. You can only upload a png image file? That seems like it might be hard to get under ten kbs. But since it's just text, maybe it won't be very many kbs. The software I work with, sometimes PNGs are very big compared to gifs and jpgs. Thanks for sharing your solution.

@Tristan Bull Well since the ads are renewable, I guess you got to be pretty quick on the draw. I've submitted a question about this so I can learn if the ad spot is immediately available to renew upon its expiration. I would like to know if they expire at the top of the hour or if they are exactly 24 hours to the minute.

@admin So, any way you slice it, the income for the banners must total one thousand dollars per day? It would be nice if you could offer more banner ads per day. Not sure on the math, but having some $25 banner ads sounds very appealing to my budget. There are a lot of people here and it seems like you have a huge enough audience to support the ten banners. You could support more with this community, right?

@askloz Well it's better now, so the competitor's ads wont be showing at the top of your WSO. That seems like the fairest thing to do so you don't lose a potential sale. It's horrible when they click to see your offer and they don't even make it down the page because they are above the fold looking at a big banner with another interesting offer.

@PRBandit I know how this feels. Today you have the money then tomorrow something dumb happens, like the dryer breaks, or the altenator goes out on the truck. So, the sooner your ad gets running, maybe you can start raking in some sales, but if you cant get it paid for, you wind up having to use your cash on some other need. Here today gone tomorrow

@TheRealRazzy I don't think it's the spots they are complaining about in this instance, I believe the wait time they are concerned with is the time it is taking the banners to be approved so payment can be made.

@abester101 I hate waiting too long, because then I forget about what I was doing. Then, when you get approved, it's like OH DARN, I forgot I signed up for that =). I understand the fourteen day rule, but some people have been worried about it taking three and four weeks instead of the agonizing two weeks.

I learned a lot in this thread and have been learning a lot on the warrior forum. I've been reading a lot here lately as we're all home for the holidays, and not planning to travel this year. Thanks for the info on banners and WSO threads

I just submitted a banner & I'm super excited about it! I submitted it about 3 hours ago. It meets all of the guidelines, but I haven't received a link to pay. I want to pay for it as soon as it comes in, but I'd rather not sit here for the next 5,6,8,10 hours waiting for that to happen.

Is there a certain time when this person gets in to approve the banners?

This refers to the comments left in the thread by Warriors who have purchased the WSO. Social Proof means that there is a group of people who are all sharing their opinion that it's a solid offer. The term is Social PROOF because the "proof" is that a bunch of other people are happy

What Allen was referring to is that even though another website may have testimonials, the social proof among Warriors is greater. After all, you can PM any Warrior and talk to them...
