See i saw it available the second it become available, just didn't throw myself towards it quite yet. I don't want to jump into something to early if I don't have everything ready

I'd rather get a WSO up in the next few days.

Also would something like this still work for a social website? Like let's say I was willing to pay $100 for a banner in the top that linked to a website related to a specific niche (non-internet marketing niche). Just as an example.. a social website relating to... recipes?

There are no reporting features on this. It's just a hell of a lot of traffic the banners rotate in front of, that's all I can tell you :-)

It's possible Justin. It would be a risk since this is a marketing forum but it could possibly work. We do get tons of traffic for some strange terms.

I'm not real sure what to tell you on this one, I'd hate to see you waste the money if it doesn't work out.

I've been refreshing the banner upload page all day long but the drop-down menu remains empty. Could you perhaps set up a queue system so when one spot becomes available the next banner in queue fills in?

Maybe there is one more thing possible. I don't know whether this sounds possible but one can give a try.

Try contacting the person whose ad is currently running there and request him that can he tell when his ad was started and till when it will be running. Just note the end date (if it's provided to the buyers) and just hop over to the purchase page before 10 minutes of end time and continuously look for the space to open. I think this could work for somebody.

Anybody thinks he/she could try this? if it works out for someone then let us know

That would work....but if the buyer is happy with their results, they will want to renew the ad....no point in telling someone else the exact time it comes up for renewal.

I've figured out approx times that 3 different banners are up for renewal....so I'll be clicking refresh as fast as I can around those times. Hopefully I can get a spot.

I'm thinking Allen may need to up the price by at least 3 to 5 times...or more.

100 bucks is WAY too cheap, and this will thin down the amount of people wanting banners by a lot.

EDIT: Another option would be a bidding PPC system. That way, everyone can participate - but the amount of people advertising and paying would set the price.

Just a note to everyone running the banner ads. I posted which banner I noticed on the main forum: WF Banner Buyers - Check Your Links but it doesn't seem to be getting many views. There is at least one banner that is not linked properly and I hate to see anyone make a $100 mistake.

That's true...I didn't realize it the first time around....but now that I have plotted the times of day at least 4 banners will expire, I'm feeling better!

Once your banner is approved you can submit payment.

HOWEVER, there maybe 5 others who want that same spot, trying to submit payment too. So if you aren't the first to get it, then you have to wait until another spot opens.

While I agree that that shows the value of the ad position - I think it's a tad crazy to buy up 3 spots.

Personally, I would only allow 1 spot per person at one time or if you wanted two spots, you pay 4 times the price - so 400 for 2 spots instead of 200.

Anyway guys, I've been refreshing and I think we'll have to wait. I'm seeing a few new banners in the rotation.

Admin, I IMMEDIATELY clicked the activation link when my banner was approved, but it said the slot is not available. I clicked activate banner RIGHT AWAY when it was approved, like within seconds.

If the slot is no longer available, will I be notified when this slot is available somehow?
