Looking for a marketing genious...

Hello fellow warriors!

I'm looking for someone to coordinate a JV with. I've got a couple awesome products and I've got a pretty good system for moving the products out my door. What I'm looking for is someone to help me move more than what I'm doing. Product development and operations were a breeze for me but admittedly, I'm no marketing guru. I just don't have time to learn it and do it all myself and I realize that adding an "expert" so to speak to my team can benefit everyone involved.

PM me here, we'll rap.

Thanks!

Kevin

I few small bites but I'm still looking for someone interested in making some coin.

Any chance that I could interest someone with a list some decent product to offer to his/her opt-ins for commission?

    Kevin,

    WIIFM?

That's the question you gotta answer in order to get JVs to bite. Of course people with lists want to make money by selling stuff to their subscribers. Therefore, you need to give them a reason to promote your stuff rather than someone else's.

Who and what exactly are you looking for? What exactly have you got? WIIFM?

    Best,
    Curtis

Thank you for the reply Curtis. I'm afraid offering too much information may be against the EULA here, which is why I'm hesitant to divulge too much...

What I'm willing to explain here is: The products that I have, I own the rights to. Scripted and recorded in-house. I produce them, I package them and it is through my own quality control they pass before shipping to my customers.

What's in it for you (or anyone else)? Assuming a person has a decent list and the know-how. 50% of the overhead. I realize that within this setup, you guys with lists need products, and we with products need you guys with lists.

No probz, just trying to lend a hand.

Ok, so far, I still know nothing about your product except that it is awesome (meaning I know nothing about the product).

You offer 50% commissions, but that's doesn't catch my attention because that's usually the minimum for digital products. The commission rate shouldn't be the selling point of your affiliate program (or JV invite). I wouldn't sell something at 75% commish if the product was crap, the conversions were crap, and so on. 50% of a product that's proven to sell fast on the other hand....

Ok, so you have a physical DVD product maybe? About what? What's the price point? What's so special about your product? How's the sales page converting?

This stuff is all very important if you want to get people to sell your stuff.

If you can't provide all this basic information, why should anyone care? After all, there are a bazillion people in the IM space and most of them all look the same: 50% commish, dull product, no list, low price point, and no stats to prove that the product will sell.

Trust me, it is not hard at all for people with lists to find products to promote - they're everywhere.

I understand what you're saying Curtis, but I believe we need to step back and look at the bigger picture.

I'm skirting a EULA issue and I'd rather not have my account pulled for spamming. I'm just not sure how much I can and cannot get into in the forum without angering the masses. If you were at all interested, I'd have a PM with further inquiry, along with the rest of them. If you can't be bothered to take 5 seconds of your time, you're not the guy for me.

This is pretty basic stuff. It takes two to tango, etc, etc. I have product, I'm interested in allowing a marketer the opportunity to run with it for a commission. If somebody can't take a minute out of their day to talk to me about it, again....they're not my guy (or gal)

I'm attempting to start communications with people, networking, elbow rubbing, etc. I'm "shopping" so to speak and without knowing the credentials of potential participants, I just can't be bothered to throw it all out there for the world to see. This works both ways, my friend. I'm not here to bow at the feet of every Tom, Dick and Steve with a list. I'm here to discuss what WE can do for EACH OTHER. That's how we do business now and how have done business in the past and will continue to do business in the future.

I'm not tossing around an eBook with snappy SEO techniques, I'm not pimping a video with techniques to work from home or drive more traffic to anybody's website. I have legit product, widely regarded and backed by over two hundred years of research, practice and education. Degrees and certifications were obtained, regulations followed and ethics adhered to in the creation of said product.

We don't do digital....yet. We deal with physical product. I'm sure most would consider it dull, but it pays the electric bill. Again, I'm not a marketer, I'm a manager. If I knew the marketing side, I'd probably not be making a fool of myself here.

All one needs to do is click around, they can figure out what I've got and they will either decide to look more into it or not.

We've been selling these things out of our office since 1994 at just under $80.00 per series, are they hot? I just can't see it as hot, but when one person buys a set they're usually picking up another one or two the next week for family and friends. In fact, we usually make more per client on discs than we do the office visits themselves. We actually started with cassette tapes, in the early 90s. Good times, they were!

Is my product the best in the world? Hardly! There are some greats out there to contend with. What I do know, is that for every sale, we average another 7 to 10 sales (sometimes more, sometimes less) within as early as a month, and as long as 6 months. Obviously I haven't tested this method using the opt-in list method, but I'd imagine we're going to see very smiliar results. What's the math on that?

We've relied on good old fashioned word of mouth testimony since Hypnotherapy hit the mainstream and there are many many many successful people still going just on word of mouth.

If we can find someone to help make it profitable using the internet, fantastic. I truely hope that we do, for our sake and the lucky individuals that helps us reach our goals. If we can't, we'll just have to stick with what's worked for the past 16 years. Sponsoring T-ball and 4-H.

I'll be honest. Everything I've seen so far has been a huge turn-off for me.. and would shy me away from ever contacting you.

From what I just read.. Curtis gave you great solid advice.. If you want serious people to contact you.. you have got to give them something to entice them..

Right now, I'm gettin nothin.. so I guarantee you any serious marketer that comes thru this thread is just saying 'pass'.

No one is trying to lecture you.. we're trying to help ya =)

A simple: "Hey! my name is Kevin.. I've got a product in the dating niche that is getting phenomonal conversion rates.. Right now I'm converting at X.. And here's a sample of something (anything) I've done.. so you can see I actually do know my stuff.."

would probably get you a much better response..

I'd be interested in a list swap. WE are real estate investor/trainers and find that biz opp lists are very responsive to our offers. We can have you email for our $1 offer, tag all people to you, and then upsell them to a $1288 product that pays 50%.
