*NEED* a programmer/web developer to partner with

I have an idea for a web 2.0 site with huge potential. It is in the geo-social networking category of web 2.0 sites and will be targeting one of the largest niches online. I can get more into the exact details with you once we talk a little and see if it is a good fit. But if you have not noticed, geo-social networking sites are just now starting to boom and this would be on the forefront of that boom.

One big requirement will be having good knowledge of the Google Maps API and how to integrate it with a number of features.

My specialty lies more on the SEO, promotion, monetization and idea side of things. Since I have no programming skills, that is where you will come in. I will pull my own weight on everything not involving programming.

I have already registered the domain which is very brandable and laid out a large number of parameters to get started on the development of the site.

As far as compensation, it would be 50/50 income share. You will have to be willing to put in the work on the front end to reap the rewards on the back-end. Once you hear the idea however, you will see just how huge the potential is.

    Hi Jonathan,

    i have designed websites with joomla cms before where members input their address when they register and a google map automatically plots them geographically with their avatar and a link to their profile.

    is this something you are talking about doing?

      It is a little more advanced than that. The site will be tightly knit around the Google Maps interface, but users will be able to comment, rate, save to favorites, share with friends, add locations, add photos of locations, etc.... to google map locations. They will also be able to do a radius search of an area for every location users have shared in that area on the map.

      That is at it's most basic the functionality with Google Maps needed.
