Ad swappers and folks with unused ad space: Create another income stream in an hour or less
Why this approach beats ad swaps, hands down
How does it work?
It's simple: You tell people about TalkBiz News and the free book they get when they subscribe. Use a special link for the recommendation. When they sign up, you get commissions (typically 50%) on whatever they buy from me through the newsletter, for as long as they stay subscribed.
You can get started within 15 minutes, from now to your first mailout.
If you're not already subscribed to the newsletter, you can sign up and get a free copy of the book here. It's 112 pages of solid information that very few people discuss. It gets rave reviews, from new folks and experienced marketers alike.
Why is this better than ad swaps and similar promotional deals?
- Rather than diluting your list, it provides an additional ongoing revenue stream. If your subscribers order something, you make money. No matter which list it's from.
- The opt-in rate is solid. On the average, 60% of the people who visit the sign-up page subscribe, and 83-86% of those confirm their subscriptions. Some are higher and some lower, but that's been the steady average for more than a year.
- Affiliate commissions are paid instantly, using the "Rapid Action Profits" system. In the case of a 50% commission rate, that means you would be paid immediately for every second sale to the folks you send to the newsletter, for every product.
- The bonus they get for subscribing is killer stuff. It's 112 pages of a different kind of content than most people put out. Ed Dale described is as "a must for any online marketer." Allen Says read it and commented, "Love it! A lot of stuff people desperately need to hear, and some stuff they will definitely want to hear."
- None of the headaches of tracking swaps. Your results are totally up to you. It doesn't matter how large or small your list is, or even if you have one. Send the visitors and get paid when they buy.
- Immediately after signing up for the program, you'll get an email with a truckload of promotional tools; banners, a tracking script, a rebrandable report you can give directly to your subscribers (and get paid on sales and subscribers that come through it), and 8 pre-written emails you can send to your subscribers or turn into blog posts.
And, of course, there are other ways to promote it. Use the banners on your site, turn one of the emails into a blog post, add your affiliate link to your blogroll, include it in a recommended resource list, put the link on the page that comes up after someone successfully subscribes to your list, and more. Those approaches can turn unused or unproductive space into a growing source of ongoing cash.
The most effective way to turn this into a steady producer is to send an initial recommendation to a subscriber list, and then add in one or more passive approaches, like the ones I mentioned earlier.
With the tools provided, that whole process doesn't need to take more than an hour to get set up. After that, it can run on auto-pilot.
A lot of people find that doing too many ad swaps results in their lists becoming "diluted." That is, their subscribers end up getting too many promotional emails, and overall response rates end up dropping. This process avoids that, because of a number of differences.
The first is that you're not sending them to a site that's offering a recycled PLR report or other low-grade offer. The book they'll get was written by me, as a Christmas gift for my subscribers. It's been extremely well-received, by both experienced marketers and folks who are completely new to the business.
Secondly, because I don't hammer people with one promotion after another, there's usually a significant gap between the recommendation and the first time they get anything with a strong promotion in it. They associate getting the book with your recommendation. It doesn't look or feel the same as many ad swaps. (There is no one-time offer presented to new subscribers at the moment. I do not currently have plans to add one. I may test it later, to see if it increases affiliate revenues.)
And, since they're on both lists, you have a more stable platform. This is like converting part of your subscriber list or visitor base into a second list, which I run for you. If you normally sell affiliate products, you still get the same commissions, but I'm the one creating the content and doing the selling.
A true "everyone wins" proposition.

For the folks who may not know me: I've published the newsletter for almost 14 years, and been a member here for most of that time. I'm not going anywhere. I think you'll find it a very profitable way to spend that hour or so.
