Unique social gaming site needs backup. JV/funding needed.
Hi Warriors,
I am in the process of relaunching my social gaming site. And by relaunching I mean expanding into the international market.
The website is a community for gamers (think "real" gamers, not farmvillers). They create and upload their own gaming videos, upload/share pictures, blogs, forum posts, etc. Everything you can find in a normal social network -- but here it's only gamers.
Now, the community is 20k members right now. That's the cap of the small local market I was targeting. (also worth noting that it was done in 3 years on autopilot, $0 spent in advertising, all viral, at the moment of writing this post there are 350 users online at the site)
I am about 40% finished with the code of the new website, working with a trusted developer who built the initial website. In the process of building, I noticed that it's shaping up to be something unique. It is already rivalling all features of Facebook, and when finished, will lure hundreds of thousands of gamers away from facebook to this website. (Yes, using facebook connect!)
I am looking for help in funding to get this live and make it a huge success.
I have a unique monetization system in development that will promote viral growth, as well as incredible social features designed for gamers.
The JV/funding is needed for promotion, moving the current server to Amsterdam from Helsinki, scaling the system and building up the unique features.
Yes, I already have a community to show -- and it's loyal, very loyal. And a unique chance for a "starter" to fuel the international site.
