I think your going to have to lose the idea of percentage of sales, I do coach, but I'm in the US. However, percentage of sales never works.

Your not taking into consideration the amount of time that is needed

Since you already know how to get "rich" and are sharing your system with others, I think you need to be a bit more specific about what you are asking for.

You say you want someone who can help you "grow" your business, but you need to be more specific about where you are now, where you want to be and what level you expect your mentor to be at.

Apologies for not having come back to this thread earlier

Rather than an "all-in-one" IM mentoring package I'd need more a mentor / "consultant" on specific issues.

For example, now I seem to have figured out how to generate leads in a niche but am having trouble turning those leads into cash either throgh my own product sales, affiliate sales or Neverblue-style CPA offers…

So if you know someone with a proven track record who can help let me know!

Man, no respected marketer will mentor you for the % of sales. It is not called mentoring, but JV or partnership. Mainly, you have to pay monthly payments to your mentor. If the mentor requires (mainly with product launches) the mentoring can include 10%+ from the sales.

If you really want a good mentor, you should be actively searching for them and approaching them instead of waiting for people to drop by your thread and give you their offers because...

I am sorry but I dont see why anyone truly successful would spend time for a small monthly fee. If he's successful, he will make 10x more by doing what he's doing than by getting a few hundred bucks from your coaching.

I second John Pawlett as someone you should seriously consider for coaching.

Based in the UK, he possesses a wealth of knowledge in IM and business in general. Great guy, VERY generous with the information he shares, and has the patience of a saint!

Btw, I've been in IM for 5 years and hired John for coaching in specific areas I feel I need to improve so he's not "just for newbies" so to speak. You might want to at least contact him to see how he can help you expand your business the right way. As mentioned above, look him up on this forum or check out his lazymanslistbuilding[dot]com site - although he's versed in more than just list building

Also, have to disagree with you slightly Anonymous Affiliate. Some business people/marketers believe in "giving back" and take pleasure in helping others. Some coaches are just like that and when I'm uber successful myself someday, I plan to help people as well...it's part of my nature/character. But, I know what you're saying. Just remember not all coaches are "just in it for the money".

Yep, John Pawlett is great. I even gave my permission to quote me in a testimonial on one of his pages. I think you should also consider joining the affiliate program of a merchant that offers GREAT TRAINING then "earn while you learn". Not only that, once you get good if they have a 2nd tier affilaite program, you can teach other people (the affiliates under you) and get paid every time THEY make a sale.....

I have just been informed about this thread and I am lost for words, some very kind words, thank you.

There is a major difference between coaching and mentoring which I feel I should point out. I don’t do any mentoring in the IM niche. Although I do mentor a couple of people on general business advice.

A mentor is someone who will give you general advice and help you get to a place you want to be, my first mentor was a guy worth around $400 Million he would never dream of charging for his advice, I took him to dinner once a month and grilled him (subtly) for a couple of hours.

My second mentor was a multi millionaire and a ‘Sir’ (British Knight) who would not only dream of charging me for advice once flew to where I lived to help me with a business problem at his own expense.

I would always choose a mentor that is in a place you want to be, for example Bill Gates’s mentor was (and I believe still is) is Warren Buffet, who at the time was the richest man in the world.

You really need to have a mentor that you can meet face to face to grow your business exponentially.

Coaching on the other hand is very different, coaching focuses on a business strategy or how to ‘do’ a particular thing (for example list building).

I do coaching because not only do I enjoy it but I also find some great partners through the process, the money is not relevant to me but if I didn’t charge I have found that the students do bugger all, money makes them focus.
