JV Partner wanted to promote ebook formatting/usability/tagging/file conversion services
In a nutshell, I re-produce ebooks maximising their potential.
Similar design features used in website design studies have produced:
- 37% higher satisfaction levels
- 80% faster reading
- 100% more facts recalled
- 135% more sales
There are basically three services to offer
1) Ebook formatting service - basically formatting an ebook so it can be read/scanned with a minimum of effort and far quicker. A good overview of this can be seen from a WSO I put up in the past

There was a slight oversight on my behalf which I have now rectified. I will go into this later
2) Ebook tagging - many pdfs can only be viewed on different hardware/software if it is tagged e.g. some smartphones and PDAs. The tagging allows the different hardware/software to interpret the ebook allowing it to reflow correctly (very much like HTML)
3) Ebook conversion - converting to different formats. Sometimes these free conversions produce results which leave a lot to be desired. It can be very apparent that the ebook started life in a different format, may not have any forms of navigation and features such as page numbers which play no significance
The slight oversight I referred to was that two of the many alternative navigation features work only in acrobat. Those features now clearly state this.

The service produces an ebook which is far easier to use with lots of different software and hardware. Two of the many features will only work when using acrobat. There were a few comments stating this within the WSO. Although these features still only work in acrobat, this is well signposted within the ebook
