BlueFart Blocker. Stop Illegal WSO Downloads

Illegal WSO downloads and People downloading and selling pirated WSO's, Software and Online Media can hurt your products reputation, your business and your bottom line.

I am currently coming up with a product that will be able to kill all download links for illegally hosted files, this should increase Internet Marketers Online Product Sales by curbing the loss of income from Illegal Downloads

Features
*Ability to add sites to search, Will include a login option and will attempt to auto register if there is no account defined.
*CAPTCHA breaker.
* Searches defined websites, search engines and blogs for clients files based on definable variables.
*For every hit found all applicable data is sent back for storage (Full post details, Poster's Name, Website Name, Download link(s), Thread Views/Posts, Thread/Post URL)
*Automatically sends abuse report to file hosting sites for any hit(s) on clients files.

Website Features:
*Full user system with PayPal integrated.
*Export clients results in 3 ways (Excel, HTML, Your Application)
*Full client area with results and charts showing how the piracy has increased/decreased since they signed up with the site.
*Full admin area with client management, reports, stats, payments and scraper settings/variables.
*AJAX/JQuery will be added in*
*Unique design

Application Features:
*Splash page (animated) with client login.
*Grabs all hits, and displays full posts and info. Integrated browser for viewing the page where the files are.
*Section with every download link and the current status of the link and how many times it was downloaded.

    Sounds like a great product. I've visited many of the BH sites and have seen the WSO's up for download, it's sad that someone put so much work and effort into it for nothing.

    Hope your product works out and helps stop this theft.

    I'd be very interested in testing this

    Once concern i would have though is could it be used in reverse.. i.e to find shared copies of products people might want to buy?

      Thanks for bringing that up.

      This is mostly for the WSO or Product creator.

      We give the product creator the ability to check and track illegal downloads, now if another user who isnt the creator attempts to do the same(track a product that isnt theirs), our system will let us keep track on naughty users and put them on a time out. So to say.

    I'd say I look forward to reading it but I already have a copy, woops ;-)
    I know there's one effective method for pdfs. There's a company that sells a monthly service that brands all the downloads with a watermark of the purchasers name from their Credit Card. It costs like $67 a month for the service.

    Not to burst your bubble, but you can't fight piracy to a degree where you can charge money for the service. In the time it takes for you to track and shut down one single link, there will be 100 mirrors up.

    Sharing pirated software is a lucrative business. If multi-million fortune 100 companies can't stop it, why would a WSO product be able to (and I believe you haven't begun actual development?)

    I applaud your initiative,, but he title is very misleading as you can not stop illegal downloads.

      Actually development has begun. I will have it up as soon as I set up a server for it.

      Personally I would be quite peeved if someone had started a subscription based membership site where they upload my WSO and charge someone a monthly recurring fee to download numerous WSO's. Funny enough, that website exists, there are about 5 key websites where the illegal sharing of WF members WSO's originates.

      I know all about internet piracy. Lets see how it goes once its done.

      From what I read in OP, your not stopping illegal downloads, your patching what's already spreading on the net?

      Hi,

      I do not intend to patch. I intend to stop and deter illegal downloads of specific file types.

      I am very aware of all the ways to rename files and the various techniques to spread illegal files.

      I appreciate all the scenarios that people are throwing up, I have seen a gap in the market for this product in the WF community and beyond WF.

      I will update you as progress is made.
