Hey Mobile App Program Makers... I Need You!

Do you have a program that creates mobile apps?
Do you make mobile apps regularly?
Do you want more business/sales?

My mobile text marketing company is busy, with hundreds of affiliates out there kicking butt and selling plans. I want to offer our clients and their businesses the opportunity to offer Mobile Apps that work for Android and/or iPhones.

Ideally in the form of a program or online application where my affiliates can go in and build what they need. I will however consider working with a group of people who are good at what they do, and work efficiently. If this interests you.. shoot me a PM.

Thanks!

Finding such an application will be really tough, given such a app creator even exists. Also, from past experience, programming automation tools usually suck and won't offer much sanctification to your clients. Also, you can never automate programming completely due to changing requirements with every app. So you will eventually need a programmer to intervene.

I'm myself planning to get into the apps biz this year. During all my research, I found that that if you want to get data based apps (think nutrition manager, news, etc) developed, and not games or graphic intensive apps then you can employ XHTML, CSS, Javascript and Jquery for mobiles, to build apps and then use the tool on phonegap(dot)com to convert your web app into an iphone and android app. This way you don't have to pay twice for getting the same app developed for iphone and android.

What is even better is that the majority of web developers know these technologies. However, you need to give some time to your web programmer to get used to app development. It will take them more time to develop their first app as compared to a seasoned iphone (cocoa/objective-C) or an adroid developer (java).

Hence, it's more cost effective in the long run to employ web technologies and developers to build apps.

Similarly, Adobe Flash lets you build iphone/android apps and low process intenensive games. Flash developers too are cheaper and widely available than iPhone/Android developers.

Of course the above mentioned approaches have their limitations and quirks. But it's one of those things you need to try out to figure out how well it works for your business model/requirements But if they work, they should definitely save you loads of $$. These technologies are also getting better by the day and phone app development will only get easier/cheaper with passing time.

    Hope this helps.
