The Complete Noob: What's a JV?

Seriously, I don't really know. I've got a new Clickbank product coming out shortly (Nutrition; see my sig), and I'm exploring my options for making it's release something more than a non-event. Someone mentioned JV, but I have no idea what that means.

Can someone who is more experienced give me a clue?

I know that much, I'm trying to figure out what one does to achieve/during a JV.

Either have your own list in a niche that matches the product, or You have a strong product that is of interest to a marketer with a matching list.
So if you have your own nutrition ebook, you are looking for JV partners , with a list of subscribers who will be interested in your product.
