How do I JV with affiliates?

Hello fellow WF members.

I have a membership site that I am about to launch very soon.

My question is, How do I approach potential JV partners to promote my site?

The reason I ask is that I have been on other JV Network sites and all JV's
expects you to have a huge list so they can cross promote to.

I don't have that large a list to get in their good graces.

Any suggestions?

    Your best bet is to make friends and contacts on the forum. I mostly get to know people via a quick PM whenever I see someone running a WSO for something in the same niches I am. I've made a lot of great contacts that way and we all promote each other's stuff.

    Very few people are interested if the first message they receive from someone is "will you promote my site" since there are so many people sending those messages. However, I've found you get a very good response rate from PMs that suggest ways in which we could work together and ask them if they'd like to chat.

      When contacting potential affiliates you might consider giving a higher commission to get people interested. Or add some other incentive. If you have a good selling product, money talks for a lot of peole.

      You can always do a reciprocal promotion at a later time.
