So you just confirm ownership of your first site, and the rest that you add later are assumed to be valid? I ask because I wasn't asked to confirm some sites recently added.

On your site you mention that placing contextual links is better for everyone, but your automatic link placement option doesn't allow for that... or are site owners expected to go back into the page after the link was placed and add some text around the link?

And how long does it take for you to verify page rank for a newly-submitted site?

Yes, you need to confirm only your 1st added site.

In your account settings you can choose "manual link placement" instead of "automatic link placer" and then you will be able to place contextual links.

Site's back up, but many of my submitted sites are listed as having no PR1+ pages, when that's not true according to several online tools. E-mailed as suggested, but no response... not terribly impressed by this operation. Talked to someone else who's had sites listed for over a year with no links sold...

I had an account on magenet and was making $1000/month at one point with it. They kept telling me to verify my websites which I did every time. There was one website I didn't verify because no links were ever sold on it. They simply said they would remove that site if it wasn't verified and that didn't bother me. Instead they terminated my entire account. I e-mailed about it and got no response. I still get notifications that I'm getting link payments but don't have an account. Be careful...

You really need high PR 6+ sites with very low OBL's to make $1000/month.

I don't think it's a *scam*, necessarily, but I don't think it's a very useful system either. After having 10-12 PR1+ sites entered into their system for about a year (many different categories), I got ZERO link sales. For some reason (desperation?) I added another site, PR4, and got a link sale at $6/month, plus one of my 'old' sites (PR3) got a link sale at $3.50-ish a month. I do have a PR8 and PR7 site listed now for a couple of months with no sales - same with my two PR6 and PR5 sites.

So there's an awfully long way to go to get to $1000/month. I think it's not a scam, but not necessarily all that well-run, especially with wyomble's experience above. Also has taken a long time to get replies to questions. I don't think it hurts to list sites with them, but don't go spending the $1000/month right away, either...

They kept telling me to verify my websites which I did every time. There was one website I didn't verify because no links were ever sold on it. They simply said they would remove that site if it wasn't verified and that didn't bother me. Instead they terminated my entire account. I e-mailed about it and got no response. I still get notifications that I'm getting link payments but don't have an account. Be careful... You really need high PR 6+ sites with very low OBL's to make $1000/month.
