My name is Dave Markel and I have been up all night. I was almost ready for bed when the idea to sell my car donation website literally popped into my head.

Man what a day it is turning out to be. Listed that site and went to bed. Couldn't sleep so I got up and saw the site sold. That was it no sleep at all.

Got started making a video about the whole thing (stay turned). Went golfing at 6 am and shot 2 over. Gonna be hot and sunny. One hell of a Friday.

This is simply how much the site sold for divided by the monthly net income.

So 16 months earnings is what the site would make in 16 months.

I guess it all depends at what point you are in selling your site. I jump back to different articles at different points through the selling processes.

If you have a real slow connection it will be faster to read the articles contained on webpages rather then the pdf's.

I guess it depends on your skill level in general. Do you have experience creating and working on your own websites?

If you have sites up and running already then you can literally get started today. ALl you need to do is provide some traffic and revenue stats then go list the site at Flippa or here as well.

You should have a grasp on basic web design and using the net in general. You will need to know how to edit and create websites.

I guess you could outsource all of it if you could find the right people. Of course it is always a huge benefit to know the process yourself so you can properly guide others.

I do most of the stuff myself, except creating unique content. I would have a hard time being comfortable with someone else doing my research. I have hired firms to do niche and keyword research for me before and the results were poor compared to what I can do on my own.

THere is a video on outsourcing content. I go through how I set up rentacoder and choosing a writer. Under "whats new" It is the top link. I have more things on my list. Things like, escrow, transferring domains, etc. I am still a newbie at making video so my ignorance is slowing down the process but I am figuring it out.
