Hello,

It really depends on your skill level - the less you know, the more it will cost you.

However, with some minor website building skills, you can really cut the cost of starting it.

Here are the bare minimum of what you need:

Monthly Expenses

1. Reseller Plan - $15-20/m (most affiliate marketers will likely have this already)
2. Billing Software/Helpdesk Software - $25/m

Start up Expenses

1. A web design(cost varies - I offer 12 hosting designs for $50 as an upsell - they are all awesome designs, some of which I have personally used for my hosting business).
2. Payment Processor - Third party signups cost about $50 but you can start out with Paypal if you are strapped for cash.
3. A domain name - $10.

So for a barebones hosting company, I would say you could get started at about $50/m with a $50-100 dollar investment for your design and payment processors.

In my course, I keep it in mind that people wont have a lot of money at first so I always try to give the cheapest route possible.

However, if you have no clue as to what you are doing, it will be more costly for you.

For example, some people dont know how to install scripts on their webspace - if you dont know how to do this sort of stuff, I recommend you get the software provider to set it up for you. They always offer this as an option however charge you extra for it.

Aside from that and I don't expect you to divulge the contents of your offer, but:-

Billing Software/Helpdesk Software - $25/m

- Why would one need the billing software, if one uses PayPal?

- Is the helpdesk software linked back to the providing reseller, or does one have to deal with all of the technical queries one's self?

1) While you could get away without using the billing software for a couple months, you will definitely need it if you plan to accept anything besides Paypal. If I had to put a number on it, after about 25 clients it will start to become a pain to manage all the rebills.

2) You can either deal with it yourself, our get a small outsourcing package to handle your support. I recommend doing the support yourself for the first 6 months, then switch to outsourcing. The ticket amount during your first 6 months will likely be no more than 1 per day so it's not to overwhelming.
