I normally targeting any keywords with exact match of 100,000 and below, allintitle search of 50,000, and a search volume not less than 9,000 searches per month.

It takes me around 1 to 2 months time to rank for these keywords with a brand new site, I recon using web 2.0 properties will give you much faster result!

However, if I want to use web 2.0 properties to rank for traffic, I normally want them to rank fast, in this case I will find keyword with 50,000 exact match and 10,000 allintitle, you should be able to rank well in a week or 2. I did experience getting traffic as fast as 3 days, but that won't normally happen...

The rule of thumb here:

Get as many links as you can, there are many competition guidelines around, you should find one that is suitable for yourself, especially how many backlinks resources you have will determine how well you rank.

I have over 1,500 High PR backlinks at hand, that is how much competition power I have for general sites.

After 60 days, raise the posting rate to 4 ~ 6 articles until 90 days, after 90 days a 10 ~ 15 articles a day till 180 days is ok.

**Note: Don't post 20 articles a day in the first 60 days, may be someone has better experience, but most of my site will get into the filter for a period of time if I do that!

I am in the weight loss niche and I have use Angela/Paul backlinks, Linkvana, Free One Way backlinks, Nextgenlinks, articles and video submission and many more and my main keyphrases are ranking between 5 to 20++ on google.

You are right! Mixing multiple sources of links is critical, especially when you need more link power and it will guarantee you to stay high stay long!

Don't worry about sandbox, Google is very careful. Off page optimization in **very very** rare case will get your site into trouble, even you spam it! Having said that, not until your site are trusted, don't spam your own site.
