I got the exact same message from Paypal a little while ago. I guess it's time to file the credit card charge back. We'll see how that goes...

anyone who paid by mastercard or amex contact their bank card issuer to claim back that way they will investigate the claim and possibly make paypal a chargeback from paypal to credit card

my friend tony jones who works for mbna credit card services here in the uk told me this infomation one time when i had a scammer on my ebay account.
as long as you have filed your disputes withinn the time frame your are entilted to a full refund, anything after 60 days is classed as non refund


anyone here who is like me in the u.k or some places in europe can also be covered

alot of people here very angry and i can imagine the pain and stress

Taking this much money from people - This dude should fear for his safety.

I know alot of people will say "it happens", but I would want to inflict bodily harm on someone that just outright scammed me out of $200.

Everyone should see if they have a cousin or something that lives near this guy to go to his house to collect a check

I just got off the phone with my uncle who is an attorney...

He says that you might be able to contact his local police department and have him arrested for "theft by deception"

For anyone that has not received their refund or any correspondence from him - It might be worth looking into...

Same for me, Paypal decided in my favour but no funds to collect. i've filed a chargeback with my credit card company and will know the result later this week.

Just to give you guy on update, I never received a refund from a**hole Flyod. I got an email from paypal stating that I won the dispute but they could not recover the money...... so I called American express and did a chargeback, I received a temporary credit for the amount stolen until they finish their investigation.

I filed a chargeback too with my mastercard, and faxed them some supporting documentation-including this thread. I've never done a cc charge back before and I don't know who will end up eating that charge-Paypal or the scammers. In any case, I hope it goes smoothly and I get my money back.

islander these threads are not used by credit card companies as evidence due to reason(s) of so manu forums and free infomation out there it would hard to do they simply use the tranaction infomation

my bank told me when i was almost scammed by a ebay frauster when i used to sell on ebay

Thanks for the advice-this thread was only one of the documents I faxed them. I also sent them a copy of my Paypal correspondence showing that Paypal had decided the dispute in my favor, along with some other documentations like correspondence between me and the scammers where they promised a refund.

The thread documents I sent were mainly just to back up the fact that this was a clear scam-it was not the central supporting document.

The bank says it may take 60 days to resolve-we'll see what happens...

I used pay-pal/wire transfer and its been over 45 days so basically they said their is nothing they can do about it.

Has anyone had any luck e-mailing him? Basically my only option is to request a refund directly from him. =/

Did anybody contact the new payment proccessor company? I would sent in all the emails with paypal, but my emails back and forth are in German and I don't think a Canadian Company would translate it in a case they are not involved in. But maybe they would shut down his account if they could clearly see he is a scammer. Just a thought.
