Hi all, Have you ever wanted a neat way to save a complete thread from this forum (and other vBulletin forums)? Well, I've just finished some software which allows me to save a complete thread into a HTML file, complete with images etc. As a HTML file, it's searchable, printable - and readable because it contains all the images etc you'd see on the forum. And it's free to you. To download it, visit Forum Thread Saver - AutomateYourBusiness.com I hope you find it useful, |

Hi Andrew, I wrote a little utility for myself to do a similar thing a while back which leveraged off some existing free apps but it actually saved the thread to PDF (images, fully searchable etc) but am also curious to see yours, however I have tried subscribing and when I click on the confirmation link I am taken to a page on your site that has a section that says "Error 404 Not Found" which is presumably where the link for the utility should be?? Thanks Adam |

Hi Adam, Doh! That's what you get for releasing stuff at 1:00am... It's fixed now, thanks for letting me know. Not sure how anyone else got the download though....? I tried PDF as well, but it didn't look as good. I'll be including an option to print to PDF later, but need to work out how to easily get that onto other people's desktops. Andy |

Andy, It's funny. I read this thread yesterday and thought to myself "Would I use this program and do I really need another software program cluttering up my desktop?". I decided not to download it at that time because I wasn't sure how much use it would get. Of course tonight I read a couple of threads that I wanted to save and remembered your wso. Had a devil of a time finding it again. My karma I guess. ![]() Anyway, I finally found this thread and again and was relieved. So I clicked on your link and got a page load error when trying to access your software. How long will this bad karma last? ![]() Looking forward to using your software. Thanks for looking into this. Hey there! Just tried the Forum Thread Saver several times with IE8 but after the first page of the thread is sucessfully saved there repeatedly is an abortion with the following info: ---------- Autolt Error ---------- Line -1: Error: Subscript used with non-Array variable. ------------------------------------------- Are there any plans to update this most helpful tool? Or any ways to work around? THANK YOU SIR! |
