Absolutely! It's a great place to sell your own unique products that don't have PLR or MRR. There's one seller on there who looks like he's doing very well teaching people how to play the harmonica!

I personally only list non-IM niche products there and none of them have PLR/RR/MRR.

Any type of downloadable product can be sold there, ebooks, audio books, mp3 files, software, scripts, audio files, video files, website templates, etc., as long as you have the rights to sell it.

As for having not heard of TradeBit before, you're not alone. I stumbled across it quite by accident. It could be the best kept secret on the internet

While I don't have personal experience selling that type of product on TradeBit, I have to believe that it will do just as well as any other niche.

Each product page on TradeBit is set up to be search engine friendly and the TradeBit site itself has a lot of authority.

Some of my product pages rank above Amazon and other well-known authority sites in Google for their primary keyword, many in the top 10. One of my products, which is in the Golf niche, is on the first page of Google out of over 50 million results for it's primary keyword.

So, depending on your product title (which is in the product page URL), the keywords you use in your product description and the keyword tags you use, your product pages on TradeBit should rank very well in the search engines.

The "How To Sell Digital Products On TradeBit" course also covers a variety of ways to get backlinks and visitors to your product pages. As a result, your visitors will come from various sources, not just TradeBit.

1. TradeBit doesn't "integrate with autoresponders," however, I do show techniques in the course for ways of using TradeBit to build a list.

2. Yes, there are techniques for setting your product apart from others who are selling the same product. These techiques are described in the course.

3. Good luck finding and deciphering the instructions (see Robyn's post above)!

You could just go watch my "Getting Started" video to find out how to list a product for sale on TradeBit, if that's all you want to do, list stuff, cross your fingers and hope somebody buys it.

It doesn't cost anything to list your products for sale on TradeBit!

TradeBit takes a percentage of the selling price when you actually sell something, just like ClickBank, Ebay and others do, but TradeBit doesn't charge you anything up front.

They also handle the transactions and download delivery for you, as well as affiliates and affiliate payouts.

Hi Tamara,

Having no luck purchasing this though your PayPal link. I keep getting the same error message in a bright yellow box ->

"You have exceeded your per transaction limit. To lift this limit, click View Limits on you Account Overview page."

Apparently, PayPal thinks I'm impatiently hitting the Pay button several times and is trying to look out for me! I swear my mouse never went near the Pay button.

Not sure what is up - it's not like I haven't bought tons of stuff over the years!

I've never heard of that type of error before. I'd like to help but the issue seems to be with your PayPal account.

Have you tried logging into PayPal to lift your transaction limit?

The error message you posted says "To lift this limit, click View Limits on you Account Overview page."

Hi Ya'll,

Just wanted to let you know that there have been some changes to the TradeBit marketplace.

Some are good changes like there's now a Twitter link on each product listing page which makes it easy to Tweet about your own products or a product you particularly like.

Some are not so good changes (but probably necessary) like there's now a $4.95 fee to register a new seller account and the commission TradeBit charges has been increased from 25% to 30%, which just took effect this past Thursday, Nov. 19th.

It's not really "bad timing" for people who join now, when you look at the alternatives...

ClickBank charges you $50 to list your first product for sale in their marketplace and $30 for each additional product you list plus a percentage of each sale. And, you have to do all the heavy lifting to get your sales pages ranked in the SEs. And, last time I checked, ClickBank doen't like people to publish PLR/MRR products in their marketplace (correct me if I'm wrong).

Ebay charges $10 for a classified ad, which is "technically" the only way you can list a downloadable digital product on their site. And you have to pay the transaction fees to PayPal or whatever other payment processor you use.

E-Junkie charges a monthly fee starting at $5 and goes up depending on how many products you have listed plus you have to pay the transaction fees to PayPal or whatever other payment processor you use. And, you have to do all the heavy lifting to get your sales pages/marketplace listings ranked in the SEs.

PayLoadz also charges a monthly fee for listing products in their marketplace. Don't know if they charge any other fees, because I haven't used PayLoadz.

If you publish PLR ebooks in the Amazon Kindle Store, Amazon takes 65% of the revenue generated and, to date, they are only open to publishers in the US.

IMHO, TradeBit is still the best venue and the best deal for selling downloadable digital products online because once you pay the $4.95 registration fee, you can list as many products in the TradeBit marketplace as you want and earn 70% of the revenue generated from the sale of those products (80% if you drive traffic and make sales using your own affiliate links).

And, TradeBit pays all the transaction fees, handles file storage and delivery and handles customer support for you. Plus you don't have to do all the heavy lifting to get your products ranked well in the SEs.

There's also a way to have the registration fee reduced to 1 cent!

Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to discuss that on a public forum, but the folks who invest in the full course and belong to the private support forum know how it's done.

I know its been quiet here for a while but I just wanted to share my experiences with Tamara's "Unleash The Power of Tradebit" course. Not only did she do a fine job of it but its a formula for success that works as long as Tradebit exist.

The videos are so easy to follow along and it comes with easy to read PDFs as well for thos who don't like watching videos. I've had this product since February, but did absolutely nothing with it. Blame it on school.

So in March I decided to revisit my purchase and take action on this. I prefer watching videos which was what I did. Worked out a weekly plan, set up my store, and started listing all the stuff laying around on my hard drive.

Well the results speak for themselves. Take a look at the month of March and April:



...okay I know its nothing to brag about right? Well I went back and added more products to my store, tweaked my home page some more, started promoting my store and added a traffic stats code on there to monitor my traffic. Then I didn't do anything again for most of April. It got better afterwards:



I will keep tweaking things and testing to improve the overall buyers experience.
...as you can see. This product works. Tamara has shown us a way to make some extra cash while you're away from your computer, on vacation or sleeping.

While it won't make you rich or even quit your day job, at least its still better than my current monthly adsense income.

Here's a quick update to this WSO thread because TradeBit will be making some significant changes over the next couple of months and I thought you should know about a couple of them.

Right now, you need a PayPal account to receive payments from TradeBit as a seller or affiliate. However, Ralf and company over at TradeBit are working on a way to expand how they handle payouts. This summer (hopefully by August at the latest), you will be able to get your TradeBit payouts deposited into your bank account.

Also, TradeBit is working on a way to submit all products in their database to Google Merchant Center's product search index (formerly Google Base) because last month, Google started requiring website validation before they accepted product feeds. They are also rejecting feeds and site URLs from marketplaces like TradeBit, Ebay, etc., in an effort to avoid duplicate product listings.

This is good news! It means the products you list for sale on TradeBit will be automatically submitted to Google's product search without you having to do anything. I've been submitting mine manually for going on a year now and was pretty disappointed, to say the least, when Google changed the rules on us. Once Ralf and his team get this worked out, I won't have to worry about it anymore.

Not quite...It took me several years to build up my Ebay business (i.e. testing products to see what sells profitably, sourcing products, etc.) to where it was generating a full-time income (and less than a year for the morons who are currently running Ebay to ruin it all ).

I've only been developing products and listing them on TradeBit for about a year (and it's just 1 of the ways I generate online income).

I'm sure if I focused entirely on TradeBit, I'd be making more money from it. However, one of the things I learned from my Ebay experience is to diversify and create multiple streams of income.

I've not really taken the time to track how long my keywords stay on the first page of results.

As for your second and third questions, sales fluctuate just like they would anywhere else you have products for sale. That being said, I'm still making sales of products I listed a year ago.

Your product listing pages on TradeBit work pretty much like any other web page except that they are on an "authority" site (like EzineArticles, Blogger, Squidoo, etc.), which means they will generally rank quicker and easier than a new page on your own domain (unless you have a high-ranking authority site of your own).

You can list your products for sale and do nothing else, just sit back and depend on generating sales from the traffic that naturally comes to TradeBit. However, this means you'll be competing against all the other sellers for that traffic, but you should be able to make some sales this way.

Or you can be proactive and promote your product listing pages just like you would any other web page you have by getting backlinks pointing to them from articles, social marketing, videos, etc., which means they will rank higher in the SEs, have more staying power, more traffic and more sales.

Either way, you'll need to take the time to list unique products that there's a market for, select keyword tags that people are actually searching for, have a compelling sales message, etc.

If you just list the same PLR/MRR crap targeted at the MMO crowd that the "cheapo" sellers have for sale on TradeBit for $0.50-$1.00, and/or do nothing to promote your product listing pages, then you'll likely be disappointed in your results.

Hmmm...let me gaze into my crystal ball...

Unfortunately, just like on Ebay, that depends on the products you have listed for sale, their price, whether or not there is a demand for those products, if the market is willing to pay those prices, etc.

There's simply no way I can predict the sales to products listed ratio for you or anyone else, because there are just way too many variables.

The numbers will be different from one seller to the next on TradeBit just like they are on Ebay.

Just kidding, however, I haven't tried selling every single different kind of product you can sell on TradeBit so am unable to tell you exactly which ones "best sell on TradeBit".

MY best selling products are ebooks and audio books in non-internet marketing niches.

Other people sell music mp3 files, image files, software, owners manuals, videos, sound effects, ringtones, etc.

If you go to TradeBit.com, you'll see a scrolling banner at the top of the home page which shows you products that just sold. That should give you an idea of what's selling.
