Hi Ron,
It took about 2 weeks to get to #3, then another couple of weeks to move into #2.
That is with no backlinking or other promotion. I just submitted it to Ezine and that's is it.

The time it takes pretty much depends on the strength of the top competing sites.
If your competition is not too strong and your article is pretty well written and relevant to your keywords, that is probably a typical time frame.
It all depends on finding the right keywords, and that is what this report is about.

This is an excellent report, I loved it. Except for one thing; I've noticed that in your keyword research with Google's keyword tool, you kept the match type to Broad. I believe this is a mistake, as Broad will give you a highly inflated search count. It's better to use "Exact" for match type, as that will tell you how many times each specific keyword is being searched.

Yes, you are right. In my example screen shots the match type was set to broad. Changing the match type to exact or phrase match will give you a closer estimate of the monthly searches for that exact keyword.
Phrase match is used when analyzing competition in the following step.

I have not tried Micro Niche Finder. Does it work well?

Short, sweet, no fluff guide on literally how to get your article rankings top!

Good for anyone who doesn't already know how to check the real competition in google and a nice quick tutorial on how to use the google keyword tool (although i would have reccomended opting to use the exact search for most keyphrases unless you can get a double wammy and get ranked for more than one keyphrase).

But yeah i would reccomend this to any newbie and anyone else who as i said before doesn't know how to check the real competition in google.

Yes this can help with moving your own sites up the SERPs in a couple of ways.
Once you find the right keywords you can write content for your site using those keywords. Also, you can write articles relating to those keywords and submit them to article directories with your site URL in your resource box. That will give you backlinks which will help your search engine rankings.

Nice, short report for *entry level* keyword research for article writing.

One gripe: the keyword term used in the screenshot above gets absolutely bugger all searches per month. Plus it does have backlinks.

Even though it would have remained on the 1st page it's questionable whether it would have retained its high position without links - just feel a much better example could have been used by the author as there are plenty available.

That said, if you're new to the game then grab this. It does work and it's only $7.
