It is not bad to build a few hundred back links for a web site. But depending on your niche, this might not bring the desired effect or only for a short time.

If you are lucky and operate in a niche that has Zero competition, you might not need many backlinks. But most of us try to make something work against a little or often some stiff competition.

a. Are you using Angela's packets? If so, you might be violating her terms which prohibit link building services using her packets on WF. You can advertise anywhere else but not on WF.

b. I checked the backlinks of both of your example quizilla sites, and in both cases it looks like the majority of the links are from one site. Now maybe site explorer is not yet caught up with all the links you built (in one case it shows ~170 links whereas you say you built 300). Can you clarify?

I am not using Angela's packets. I am not using any packet that is for sale here or in any other forum or anywhere.

I collected all the web sites that I am using myself. These are forums, message boards, blogs and web 2.0 sites that have some PR and give a do follow link with anchor text.

As I submitted only a short time ago (maybe a week or so), yahoo site explorer has not yet caught up with the links.

I will ad another example to the post today that shows a decent listing, but no links showing up in site explorer yet. The screen shot shows a number 6 listing. If you check now, you'll see it is number 1. (search for "cell phone glitch").
