My Review of David Jenyns 'The Seo Method'

This took some time to review with three long videos to watch and I really am impressed!

1. How Search Engines Work (over 1 hour - great for beginners who want more than the usual stuff... more detailed information then I've seen in most tutorials)

This video leads you through the seemingly mysterious ways of Google Search so you get
a better understanding of how to relate what you can do to start succeding.

2. On and Off Page Optimization (over 1 hour of detailed information about promoting a money website for the kind of results you've only dreamed of!)

3. The Seo Method ( 44 minutes of over the top information on 'How to Rank')

Oh boy! this will make even a seasoned marketer sit up and pay attention:
it's definitely for you if you want to do long range planning ahead for dominating a market... it's all there with David drawing diagrams on screen and providing links to resources he uses.

On the other hand David also considers the marketer who wants all the information
so he can focus on staying 'One step ahead of the top person in his market'

There is lots more, the Pdf guides, the mp3 interviews with several of the top marketers and the videos are available in two formats, to accomodate some people's bandwith
capacity. They both worked fine for me but I downloaded the ones with less mgs.

Although I am new to the Warrior Forum, I had the chance to take a look at David's Method and I wanted to post my honest review here.

In one word, I was pleasantly surprised.

As the name implies, it is a very detailed course on SEO.

In the first video (more than one hour total), David talks about how search engines work. He goes in minute details into how Google (and other search engines) view sites and their ranking criteria, the importance of outside links, the weight of links from authority sites, on-page and off-page optimization (more detailed in the second video).

In David''s world, the whole idea of optimization is to engineer and replicate what would happen naturally.

In the second video (more than one hour total), David goes into great detail into on-page and off-page optimization, the importance of good keyword research, home page and secondary page optimization, with numerous examples, how to get inbound links (various PR, from authority sites, etc.) and the various methods to achieve this.

The third video goes into the advanced aspect of SEO. This is the “meat” of the course, where the really powerful stuff is exposed: Various tools and methods used to land on any search engine's first page. Obviously, a lot of this could be done by hand, but the recommended tools automate and greatly streamline the process. Very advanced indeed.

Obviously, although the course is detailed enough for a newbie to understand, there is enough material to keep the veterans busy.

My favourite parts:

The blueprint PDF, the a step by step SEO method (Ezine articles, article distribution services, blog networks, directory submissions, Web 2.0, video submissions, social bookmarking, etc.). There is also an advanced section where the David gives resources to build your own network (pretty powerful stuff).

The “Outsourcing Secrets” audio course. If you have many sites to take care of, you obviously want to outsource some of your tasks.

David also includes “The SEO Starter Guide” (Google's), that I found very useful (that should be read first, in my opinion, since it goes into great detail into SEO, with practical applications and advice).

All in all, this method covers a lot and gives best practices that, if applied correctly, will make it easier for you to land on Google's (and other search engine's) first page. Some of the material may not be new to you but it has the merit to present, under one roof, a complete and powerful SEO method that is readily applicable to the real world. Highly recommended.

deltamatrix: There are a few steps in theSEOmethod and depending on the level of competition you've got, many times you don't need to go through all the steps... You might get to #1 position with steps 1&2.

I'm a big believer in outsourcing, so I didn't build/promote each of the 583 domains myself. Including building + promoting I think we spent on average around $150-$200 per domain. This is something I've been working on for a good few years.

Now with all the testing done, and following my SEOmethod, we pretty much get a site ranked within a month. This isn't some 24hour job and that won't last. I'm building rankings for the long term.

Here's the process.

#1. Get one site ranked (do it yourself).
#2. Document the system (use mine or create your own).
#3. Start building your team.

To do 300 blogs this will take some time to get the processes right. I do include an audio on outsourcing as part of the package. Should you need more help, I'm happy to record some new videos on it for SEOmethod owners.

That said, don't try and do 300 blogs at once! you must first get the system right. If you can't get it to work on a small scale, it most likely won't work on a large scale.

Example: A baby ecommerce store wants #1 position for "baby clothes". Their site is not a blog, it's not an article, it's doesn't have "baby clothes" in the domain name, it's a site that sells baby stuff. Can we get that domain to #1?

Alloo: You can rank any site with enough good quality links so the answer is 'yes'.

It's good to have the keyword in the domain but not essential. "baby clothes" is clearly a competitive term so you are going to have to start building links, and it may take some time, but it's definitely doable.

I suggest you start with less competitive stuff and then work up to the big keywords. Don't get so stuck on ranking one keyword you forget about all the others.

I understand. Anyway I do not believe that you will able to get 1st ranking on any search engine within 24 hours except through bookmarking sites but it does not last long.

I have been doing SEOs for quite some time and some of my sites (in very competitive niches) are already on the first page. Just hope that some of your techniques will help to propel my sites to the top 3 rankings and stay there.

I received an advance copy and rarely give reviews. Today I make an exception.

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. Time is my most valuable asset, so when I saw that the product was predominantly video-based (over 3 hours), it got shelved. If there had a been a PDF version of the same content, it would have received my immediate attention. That's it for the negs.

Today, I received an email telling me the WSO was live and inviting me to provide a review. Obviously I couldn't review what I had not looked at but I decided to see what others were saying about it.

Early in this WSO thread another advance copy recipient suggested a PDF transcript of the videos and David promptly replied that this is already in hand and will be sent to all purchasers. So I read the rest of the reviews that had been posted and, if I hadn't already received a copy, I would have been tempted to buy it, so I decided to check it out.

As an experienced Search Engine marketer, I skipped straight to video 3 to see what his methods are. Here is my review:

It is clear from everything David says that he IS actually doing this himself and not just talking theory. The methods and strategies he recommends will not be new to those of you with experience in SEO, but, IF you have ever seen them presented in a way that shows you how all the pieces fit into place, it is certain that you will have paid a heck of a lot more than you are being asked for here.

He doesn't tell you what you should do, he tells you what he actually does to achieve top SE rankings. He also makes it clear that you can't do it all yourself. This is something that other "teachers" are reluctant to point out or don't mention because they aren't really doing what they are teaching. Best of all, he explains which parts of the process he does himself, which parts he automates with software and which tasks are outsourced to freelancers.

The methods and resources he uses are solid (I use many of them myself) and he presents everything in an easy to follow manner. Rather than supplying "word for word" transcripts, I would prefer to see the transcripts tidied up, indexed and presented as reference notes to accompany the videos.

When the PDFs are added to this product, I believe that, at $97, it will be the best value SEO blueprint available on the market today. At the WSO price it is a steal.
