Butting in here, but hoping to be helpful. Is your ReviewAzon homepage post actually posting only a partial excerpt, or the full thing. If it's posting the entire excerpt then you need to go to ReviewAzon's Advanced settings; then the second item down "Show excerpts on the following pages:" and uncheck "Frontpage" or "Homepage" (or maybe both- whatever works). You may also have to go to "Text Options" (a tab at the top of ReviewAzons Advanced Settings page) and shorten this value "Truncate post excerpt after XXX characters." Hope I helped. |

On your ReviewAzon demo site given above, on the Product Post pages, below the "Order Now" button, The tabded window with the labels "Description", "Additional Details", "Customer Reviews"... is that something that is built into the Abundance theme-- or something that you tweaked in for this site? |

Thank you Diana and LeeSr for your input. Well Diana, you sure can throw a site together and make it look good! Thanks for checking out the ReveiwAZON plugin. So, am I understanding correctly that we have to make the changes you said to the Abundance theme and not the plugin templates? And after we make the changes we will have to make the articles pages and the ReveiwAZON entries posts? Also, did you mean to say that you will be writing up how to use ReveiwAZON with your theme? That would be awesome if you did that. Thanks for your help! |

rosterling The changes do have to be made to the Abundance theme files and not to the plugin files. I have just sent out an updated user guide which more or less says what I have said here, only with illustrations. You really don't have to change a lot though, four words or so. Also gone out to buyers is an updated copy of the theme, which fixes a couple of CSS issues seen via Mac or IE. I just wanted to say 'Massive thanks' to tomw and Newton for pointing them out to me. I will update the demo sites with the new version in the morning. It is 3.30am here now and zzzzzzz.... |

Can we change the width of the sites to suit our needs? Can the sidebars be created in a different color than the rest of the site? I'm looking to create WP blogs that look like ugly old html sites as they may get higher CTR (I hope). Thanks |

Got it today. Glad to see that the user manual is under 40 pages, not the hundreds of pages like the other leading leading magazine themes are.

The width is fixed, and the sidebars can't be a different colour at the present time. You can make the theme look plain enough, although I have never (deliberately!) aimed for dog ugly. I shall have to give that one a try ![]() Sorry for not being around for a couple of days. There were a couple of things wrong with my computer which I'd been studiously ignoring as they got worse, but the morning when it sounded like an idling tractor and I got complaints that it could be heard at at the other end of the house alarmed even me. It turned out to be a cream-crackered fan - this and the other issues are sorted now, and me and the 'puter are both back and flying

| I'm glad you were pleased with the user guide. To be honest, I can't remember using another magazine theme which actually came with one - any kind of guidance always came via a password protected forum, which is all very well if you are going to be the only one using the theme but not so good if you can't pass the access along to your site buyers. I can't think of an objection to theme buyers giving their own site buyers a copy of the manual where the theme is installed if it makes life easier.

Around a month or so ago, I was working on an update for The Abundance Theme and was looking around for a live site to put it on, since my test installations were busy with other things at the time and the update wasn’t big enough to justify creating another. I dug up an old .info site that had been quickly knocked together several months earlier in order to test a plugin, and had been languishing around doing very little ever since. It was wearing a fairly nondescript bog standard WordPress theme, which was replaced by Abundance. After checking it in various browsers to make sure that the Abundance update had produced the expected results, I vowed to take more interest in the site in future… and promptly ignored it again. This poor neglected site was remembered again this morning when I needed to use it – for testing something. It will go to the ball one day. Taking a look at the stats while I was there, I found this… ![]() While we’re hardly looking at a traffic jam here and you can almost see the cobwebs draped gently over the graph, there’s a marked increase in activity since I installed The Abundance Theme a month ago. I haven’t posted a thing on this site since April (though I’ve a feeling that’s about to change!) and it wouldn’t know promotion if it walked up to it and bit it. Interesting. |

Hi Diane, I sent you a message through you contact form on your website too. But I'm posting here in case someone else might want the answer to this as well. -------------------------------------- Hi Diane, I purchased your theme last week through the WSO and I'm just starting to use it now. I'm planning to install the theme on several domains that I own but one thing that I would like to do before I do so, is set some default settings for the theme. That way when I mass install WP on my domains with the theme they will have the settings and look that I want. Without having to go into each blog and set the layout, colors, etc. seperately. I noticed that the options for the theme are stored in the database. In table wp_options. My question is where can I change this so the settings will be changed on the install of wordpress on my domains? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

Hi Diana, I've looked at the abundance theme site and it says there is a drop-down menu in the horizontal nav but I couldn't see it in any of the demos. Is that a built-in feature of the theme? Is the developer license still available? Thanks, Achinta |

Never mind...I saw an example of a drop-down at currentplr.com. I do have another question though. Is it possible to easily omit pages by ID from the nav? If not, can I directly edit header.php with something like this? <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&depth=2&sort_column=menu_ order&exclude=95,97,290,); ?> Thanks |

Hi, I just use a WordPress plugin to omit pages from the horizontal navigation, called WP Exclude Pages. It's always worked well for me so I couldn't see the point of reinventing the wheel on that one. WordPress › Exclude Pages WordPress Plugins The developer license is still available, yes. Thanks |

Diane, Really love the theme. Quick question. On the sites you are displaying the amazon products, is that a setting in the theme or the plug in that's been mentioned? Want to make sure and get everything. Thanks, John |

Hi I've not used the Amaniche plugin before but I've just had a quick look at the demo site that's linked to from their sales page and viewed it's source code too, and I can't see why it wouldn't work. The theme used by the Amaniche demo site is a standard one and the plugin outputs genuine content rather than coded Amazon gobbledegook, so it should work just fine. Front page thumbnails won't be square though unless the images sent from Amazon are, which is no different from the way WP-Robot works too. Best wishes, Diana |

Thanks a lot for this great deal. Was looking for a nice new theme to buy all day so I think I got really lucky to find this offer. Just wondering, is it supposed to be automatic delivery of the product upon purchase? Was there a link to download? The only email I got was a paypal receipt (checked spam). It's very possible I missed something, sorry if that's the case. |

Yes, it's supposed to be automatic (WSO Pro) but it just hasn't been happening for the last few sales for some reason. Download link is on it's way to you.

I have been in hospital for a bit, but going forward now and firing on all four cylinders again. Surprisingly small backlog to deal with, but big enough to be embarassed over. I am really sorry and will be in touch within the next hour or so. Also expect Abundance 6.0 to be released later today.

Right... Abundance is now at version 6.0. I have just made a video giving a quick round-up of what's new, but Camtasia crashed as it was rendering and ate it. No prizes for guessing who hadn't saved the project file first. Oops. Since it's now 2.30am in the morning you will have to imagine a 'play' button for an even quicker round-up and I will make another video as soon soon as I spot a spare minute. New in 6.0... * Upload all theme images from the WP admin instead of messing with FTP. * Additional centre sheet image option * Configure excerpts (video and image size, excerpt length) from the theme options page instead of editing theme files. * New version tested and compatible with latest beta build of WP 3.0 'Night all. Take care. |

Hi Diana, I hope you have fully recovered from your hospital visit. I send you good thoughts. I was delighted tonight to find your WSO. $35 for the developer license on such an amazing Wordpress theme is the very best value I've ever seen here. I thank you so much. It is also remarkable how willing you are to answer queries about "does the theme work with XYY plugin?" You are such a nice person. Me, I want to reach through the computer screen and strangle the questioner while all the time yelling "It's a great theme, and the developer license is only $35.00!!!" Or maybe if I was more polite I would still strangle the person but at the same time apologize for the fact that the Abundance theme does not wash and dry the dishes. Sorry, sorry, I must try your approach and be nice to the good customer. Kind regards, |

Thanks, taskline. I have not been blessed with buckets of patience (as my kids would probably confirm!), but have been fortunate enough to find instead that I'm usually blessed with pretty cool customers. In fact, if people are not cool then my ads are invisible to them and they will not be able to see them. It's a special feature of my ads - getting the ads to do the dishes is next on the to-do list |

Hi Diana Your theme looks very flexible and SEO friendly. I'm quite tempted. But... I suck at graphics. I can see with your theme I can rearrange menus, widgets, content pretty much at will. Yet can someone like me do a decent job visually? For example your pool table theme looks great and again shows the theme flexibility, but what could a guy like me do to achieve even a distant result? I'm hesitating between your theme and Socrates. They provide tons of headers so at least there's some graphics to begin with. It seems more limited than your theme, yet WYSIWYG. I'm looking for your feedback - or from some customers. Thanks! |

Hello Jay. I'm definitely no great shakes at graphics. Somewhere, probably on the Abundance theme's site, I think I even mention that the pool table design was no more than an amateur's attempt at showing what a graphics wizz could easily improve on I think it's there that I mention that designs that are too quirky detract from content and ads in most cases anyway, but that it's good to have a theme with the functionality to put something memorable together when you do need it.One of the things I like about the theme is not only that it's easy to quickly put ideas into practice if you know what you're doing graphics-wise, but that it's just as easy to scrub out an idea gone wrong and move on to a better one if you find that you've created a visual Frankenstein. The voice of experience speaks here - I have created many a visual Frankenstein, but they are not generally allowed to wander the internet as I usually kill them before anyone sees them Good luck with your new theme, whichever way your decision goes.
