I looked into this but the cost is prohibitive at this time. We are going to record the event for DVDs with some NICE equipment used by the City. The only gotcha is we have to air some segments on the public access channel first before releasing them - so the DVDs should be available in time for Holiday shopping! So make sure folks know what you want

I second that motion. LA is a lot closer - only about 8 hours. Just right for a few movies, drinks, and a meal.

we won't be able to stream the event this year
but we will be making DVDs, and I'm sure attendees will be streaming some items at times and sharing images.

There's both a technical aspect of streaming and then I learned the hard way there are permission/release aspects that have to be handled as well. I'm learning a lot hosting this!

Hopefully folks will be promoting when/what they're sharing from the event - hopefully we won't melt down twitter

Good point Kevin That would be fun.

When I go to local seminars from time to time I never stay at the hotels, so I never get hammered at the bar. That might be the problem haha...

But my dog just had her leg amputated because of bone cancer so I'm taking care of her and I'm in the middle of getting my wedding together, so I don't know if it's a good time right now anyway.

John it's only a short flight, I going from HK

LA sounds good, I can get there before I leave HK which will leave me totally confused ... I know Kevin, nothing unusual there.

B&N will be great as Kevin leads us all in a brainstorming session there. 150 people all invading B&N and standing quietly as the leader Kevin, stands in Chinese fashion holding his brolly so we know where he is, and gives us the low down on how to use B&N for research.
