In case you want to use stencils for pumpkin carving, it is necessary to purchase a pumpkin that matches the size of the stencil.


Even if you do not want to use a stencil, you may want to make sure that it is big enough for some free-hand Halloween pumpkin carving.
Also, the pumpkin must not be too ripe and neither too firm. Look for the best shade of orange and a surface that is free from any blemishes or soft-spots. A good way is to hold the pumpkin up and smell the top. A strong smell may tell you that it is too ripe and you need to look at another one. However, take care not to lift the pumpkin by the stem as it may come off and you may end up paying for a splattered pumpkin!


You can also tap the pumpkin for a solid sound and reject ones which give out a hollow sound. When you have made your choice, be sure to carry it back safely.

2. Halloween Pumpkin Carving Procedure-

Make a deep circular cut around the top while keeping the stem intact. Keep this portion away for later use. Scrape out the innards of the pumpkin and discard the pulp unless you wish to use it for cooking or for any other use. You may want to do this carefully so as to remove any soft flesh from the inside as it may rot quickly, affecting the walls of the pumpkin.
Now your pumpkin is ready for the next step which will be to transfer the stencil onto pumpkin.


For great Halloween pumpkin carving it is necessary that you tape the stencil carefully onto the outer surface of the pumpkin. Before doing so, you may want to clean the surface thoroughly. Once the stencil has been properly stuck on, make holes according to the design of the stencil, with a regular ice-pick.


3. Finishing the job

You may want to use a kitchen knife but this can spoil all your hard work. Use precision knives such as the X-Acto for making the right cuts. Just follow the holes you have already made and complete the job patiently. You may refer to the stencil if you get confused.

I paid this fellow on 12 Oct with him promising to deliver my 7 articles 2 days later. I did not receive anything even after waiting till 16 Oct. Send him a email reminder and guess what, he did not even reply. It is already 8 days since his last email to me, what a terrible way to do business. If there is still no news, perhaps I should be doing a chargeback.

I thought with so many good reviews for this guy, it would be a good deal to engage his service. How wrong this is turning out.
