Got it, Dustin - thanks! I'm halfway through the report and I like it! Excellent information and very well written, too - very clearly explained and sequenced, and refreshingly correct grammar. ![]() And from what I can see, some very valuable resources listed in there as well. Yes, you could easily have charged for this. Thank you for offering it here so generously. - Kat |

This report has alot of great info in it. I'm surprised you're giving this away. Your techniques for automating are gonna free up alot of time for me. The discussion about how to use content really simplified the concept for me. It gave me a straightforward approach that i can understand and you cleared up my confusion about how to apply content to my sites. The tip on the Wordpress plugin will totally enhance my sites and make life easier for me. Glad i read this. This is a perfect guideline for me to set my sites up to avoid google from slapping me. I'm psyched and gonna start putting this to use right now. this is gonna change my business, thanks Jason |

Thanks for the free report! About 2 months ago, a good friend warned me this was coming... based on some new rules the FTC was trying to push through. I'll be interested to see how your friend "bounced back" from losing his business, and what changes he was able to make to build his income back up. |

Thanks Holly. Yes the FTC has shaken things up pretty well. My friend has had a really hard time getting back to his old form (at least with that site). He's managed to do it, but it was no small task. The things you'll do when someone takes away $120k a year, right? It's a heck of a lot easier to avoid all that from the beginning. Thankfully we can learn form his mistakes. Dustin |

Very helpful. Interesting about what the $11,000 fine really is all about. I checked a lot of sources yesterday and that wasn't discussed in any of them.

Oh good - you saw the new membership post. Using a new system and wasn't sure if everyone was notified. Yes the $11K fine was a big worry spot for a lot of folks. Thanks for the comment. |

Thanks for the free report! I was wondering -this focuses on Adwords. Does this also apply to how Google ranks pages for organic listings?

You'll see in the beginning of the report I point out that this is not exclusive to PPC. This is a universal issue for anyone with a site ![]() Thanks for all of the positive feedback everyone.

Just so there's no confusion, because the template is a blatant rip-off of the real X, this has *nothing* to do with X, the author of the Adwords Black Book and numerous other truly kick your ass products. His site: Tell_a_Friend_and_Download_the_Frank_X_Interview_ My site: Adwords Black Book - All Hell is About to Break Loose I can also assure you that review sites are alive and well - it's a certain specific lazy shortcut to review sites that is not. Boy after all those glowing reviews, may be I am the bad boy here. LOL. My problems with this report: 1. After looking at the title of your report, I thought you are going to tell how to write good Reviews in your site, so Google will love them. No direct reference to it. 2. The report is about: - writing UNIQUE content - make the site easily navigational But honestly those two factors apply to ANY site whether adsense site, SEO traffic for affiliate site etc. So this hype on REVIEW sites is misleading. 3. Biggest problem: You warn us about Duplicate content, warn us about not using auto-generated content ( listed in one of the seven slaps- Auto content slap), but your solution: WP-o-Matic plugin for AUTO POSTING. Is n't this duplicate content? I am confused dude. Honestly, I didn't learn anything new. |

I heard the audio and read the report. It's not that all the information is bad but it doesn't really solve any problem. Some of it is useful. Some of it isn't so good. For example, it says Google hates duplicate content. Well, for the umpteenth time this so called duplicate content is duplicate content on your own sites, not necessarily content that exists on different people's sites. Also, some of those 7 deadly sins are obvious and others are not entirely true. You can still do squeeze pages and other kinds of pages. You have to give people something in exchange for their name and email, besides just the optin freebie. Some of the things you said about being different and whatnot is true. The thing that irks me the most is this "Mr. X" business. How many Xs are there supposed to be out there anyway? After you sign up for the free report you are taken to a page to share the report with friends and it models the pages by .X. (from the Adwords Black Book / Affiliate Black Book) and is misleading cause all this stuff will make some people think it is the .X. I just mentioned. Isn't this copy-cat thing in its very nature the kind of thing that would get you slapped if you did this in Google, which is what your report is supposed to be trying to help people avoid? This Mr. X IS NOT .X. (Adwords Black Book) and .X. has NOT been given any "hasta la vista" ever from Google or even now through all the current new Google Slap business. My advice is to all is you're better off listening to .X. and not Mr. X |

When Google slapped affiliates using the Google Cash method, the solution was unique content and easy to navigate sites with proper business pages. When Google slapped auto-page generators and one-pages stuffed with duplicate content, the solution was unique content and easy to navigate sites with proper business pages. Just because a solution has been used in the past doesn't make it any less applicable given the current situation. You'd think people would learn by now, Google will always eventually weed out and eliminate these "quick cash" tricks. 6 months from now, some lazy SOB is going to come up with some other trick (fake blogs, fake news sites, something else not seen yet), lots of people are going to copy it, Google is going to see all of these "me too" copycat sites and slap the **** out of them. Quote:
He draws on this familiar situation to compare it to the level of control Google has over the results it provides through it's Adwords platform. I do not see the "don't use auto-generated content" statement you speak of. Yes, he lists the Auto Content Slap... but he's talking about sites that ONLY had auto-generated or scraped content. The suggestion to use WP-o-Matic is NOT: use WP-o-Matic and you're done. The suggestion is to use WP-o-Matic as a piece of the puzzle - the "keep your site regularly updated" piece. In fact... at the top of page 12, Dustin says "But don't be lazy and stop there. Even though setting up an auto-blog system like the one I just described will keep your site fresh in the eyes of Google, it's not adding unique content to your site." Don't see how you could have missed that... Jason

define uplicate content - Google SearchDuplicate content is a term used in the field of search engine optimization to describe content that appears on more than one web page. ... The occurrence of substantial blocks of the same content on two or more pages of the internet Duplicate content occurs when two Web sites publish the same, or extremely similar information Quote:
The part about it being one of the deadly sins just talked about how it was a "thin" affiliate tactic that did work on it's own (just a squeeze page without anything else -- no articles, business pages, etc) but no longer does thanks to another Google Slap. Nowadays you can't send Adwords traffic to a pure lead capture page (no links... only options are to submit contact details or hit the back button), it needs to have the additional elements Dustin talks about (unique content, value added, easy to use navigation, business pages, etc). Quote:
No offense to .X. but he didn't invent the whole Mr.X/Identity Hidden/Mystery Man approach either, so I don't get how only he can use it in the IM space. NOTE: I'm a customer of John's and love all his stuff. I was a customer of his back when he was getSynergized or something like that on the forum. Point: I knew him before he became .X. and I'm not bashing him, the person. Jason

Actually a very informative WSO report. I, too, was interested to see how the whole "review site" issue was being addressed in your new report. Thankfully I came away from reading your report quite relieved in that the review site I handle (a REAL review site) continues to be quite safe. Naturally the ones that ought to be concerned are the ones that make themselves out to be something they are not.... specifically a 'review site'. Many are nothing more than a cheap site with fake testimonials with a "Buy Now" button at the end. Just my 2 cents on something that we knew would be coming all along. Thank you for the many good points made throughout your report.
