The range we are talking about here is in the 100s: something like 500 to 800 subscribers.

If you are able to have such a small list, it will make you some decent money.

As for being completely free, that's impossible. At the least, you have to pay for domain registration, hosting, and your autoresponder.

All businesses require some form of investment.

As for time, it depends on you, but in the beginning you will need to do some hard work, and later it gets easier and easier.
