You absolutely can use your own domain name. Simply go to your registrar and point your A record to our servers. (I'll add those instructions to the startup page and the knowledge base)

Initially, you do get a subdomain of mykoorus, but that can just be a placeholder until you get your desired domain pointed correctly.

Thanks for the question. No, you can't host it on your own servers (we don't sell, license or in any way distribute the code base - I'm sure you can guess why )

Your software looks more advanced than something like Weebly for sure, but I just wanted to ask one question.


For the accounts you are giving out here, will there be some kind of link put on the site itself going back to Koorus? Or are these really freely hosted independent sites?

Also, I don't use IE (mac girl) so this will not function properly with firefox?

Hi Jill,

Nope, there's no restrictions, ads, or anything like that. You get exactly what a paying customer would get.

At this point, we're more interested in feedback than money

Regarding IE - currently the editor only functions in IE. It has a ton of functionality which simply isn't cross-browser compatible yet.

Of course having said that - the cross browser version is currently under development. I'd expect it to become a reality in the next 90 days or so.

I figured out the "glitch", based on Jill's message. I could not get the edit function to work. I switched from Firefox to IE and got it without a problem.

Cool system. I am always looking for another way to at very least get back links. Looks like this will be another good source.

I'm so glad we can help, and I really look forward to hearing your feedback. One of our primary objectives is to make a tool that the "technically challenged" can use, as well as provide the advanced functionality that experienced users expect.

Regarding your questions - it comes with a 10 site limit per subscription (and we ask that each person only takes one of the free subscriptions). Please take a glance at our Terms of Use regarding any limitations on storage and bandwidth. I think you'll find them quite reasonable. (but they won't let you recreate Youtube )

I seriously think that some people are going to make a killing on the affiliate program...especially right out the door. We've been pretty much in "stealth" mode until today, and we launch on Wednesday, so everyone has the same chance to take the first swing

Based on the HUGE market for this, some folks (I expect!) are gonna really make out.

Thanks for reaching out! Most often this problem is due to the browser type you may be using. Today (and for the next couple of months) we are an IE platform only. We are actively engineering a completely cross-browser editor, but as of today, you need to use IE for the edit function. Of course your websites can be viewed using any current browser ... it is just the editing function that is restricted today.

As mentioned earlier, we will soon be adding a sniffer to the login bug that will inform you immediately if we detect that the browser is not IE.

Please let me know if this is the issue, or if there is another issue involved.

Yes, you are allowed to edit multiple sections on a page at once without having to save each time you move to a new area on the page. We certainly don't want you to lose any of your input and that's why we ask you to save only when you are going to navigate away from the page.

Of course, you are always welcome to hit the Save button any ol' time you wish!
