Default Create Genuine Urgency And Compel Your Visitors To Buy Now!

Most sales letters lack a VITAL MISSING INGREDIENT...

That ingredient is a real and strong sense of urgency.

They might use phrases like, "Hurry, I may put the price up at any
time!"... but it doesn't really create a strong sense of urgency, does it?

Or worse, some use a Javascript script to display today's date, and imply
the price will go up after midnight... but when it doesn't, their credibility
disappears, along with any sense of urgency...


WHY YOUR SALES LETTER MUST CREATE STRONG URGENCY...

The fact is, most of your visitors are busy, and easily distracted.

For example, Sandra might come to your site, read your sales letter and
want your product... but if she doesn't feel a strong sense of urgency to
buy it NOW, she is likely to put off the buying decision...

And then other things in her life will get in the way. She will face other
demands on her money, and find other things to want, need and desire.

She may never return to your site again, and you lose a sale.

And it's not because she didn't want it at the time, but it's because she
didn't feel a strong sense of urgency to buy it there and then.

Which begs the question: How many sales are you LOSING without this
vital missing ingredient?


HOW TO CREATE REAL URGENCY...

I discovered that they biggest key to creating a real, genuine sense of
urgency is to create unique, personal limited offers.

Some time ago I created a PHP program called Dynamic Deadlines™
which enabled you to create unique limited time offers for each unique
visitor that arrived on your site, which meant you could create a real,
visible sense of genuine urgency - because if they missed your deadlines,
you could actually put the price up automatically!

There are 3 different types of deadlines you can create:


1. "PERSONAL DEADLINES" - "BUY WITHIN THE NEXT 38
MINUTES..."

These are timed from the moment a visitor first arrives on your page. The
program “remembers” the time and date they arrived, and can display how
much of the deadline is left - effectively creating their own personal
limited time offer!

For example, the first time a visitor arrives, your order link might say,
"Buy within the next 1 hour to receive a 20% discount". If they came back
10 minutes later, you could have your sales page say, “Buy within the
next 50 minutes...” and so on. Once the initial deadline expires, you can
raise the price, withdraw the offer, remove a bonus or begin another
deadline - the choice is yours!

You can have as many deadlines in sequence as you like - so you could
offer an early bird bonus for people who order with an hour, then a smaller
discount for people who buy within the next 24 hours, and so on. And you
can set each deadline to whatever length of time you want, from 1 minute
to 30 days. (You can also use them to create One Time Offers).

Once a visitor sees your first deadline expire and the price increase or
perhaps a bonus disappear, they are going to take your next deadline
much more seriously!

2. FIXED DEADLINES - "BUY BEFORE JANUARY 29TH..."

These are like the kind of deadlines you get in stores. You can create
offers, discounts or bonuses that expire at a specific time and date.

These are ideal for any special offers that you're running - you can make
sure your offer expires exactly when you said it would, and you can display
how much time they have left. You could then have another fixed
deadline, to follow... with a higher price!


3. QUANTITY DEADLINES - "ONLY 17 LEFT AT THIS PRICE..."

Scarcity sells, and it's a well-known fact that when you limit the supply of
something, people tend to desire it more. With Dynamic Deadlines™ you
can sell limited quantities of something. You can show how many have
already been sold (and show many are left to be sold, before the next
"quantity" deadline in your sequence), and you can raise the price or
withdraw a bonus after you sell a certain quantity.

So, for instance, to create an initial buying frenzy, you could sell the first
10 copies of your product at $50, the next 10 at $75, and so on. The price
increases create a natural urgency, based on the principle of scarcity - the

Yes, it should work on WP sites - although if you wanted to incorporate it into a particular POST, you would probably need to use a plug-in to enable PHP in posts.

Edit: I've justed tested it on my blog over at PaulHancox.com:

You can display a Dynamic Deadline, but Wordpress seems to break the Javascript which provides a live counter, so you can have a STATIC deadline displayed, but not a LIVE counter in Wordpress posts.

To display the static version, I'm using the Exec PHP plug-in.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am now using Version 2.0 on the main site at
Dynamic Deadlines by Paul Hancox

You'll notice there is a Dynamic Deadlines live counter at the top, and also the entire order box is an element which changes as each deadline passes.

Using HTML, you can edit the format of your counter. So if you wanted a bigger font or different color, just add the HTML tag as you would on a web page.
