Sweet! I just woke up this morning to discover that my blog, pages and all posts are indexed! Also, the main keyword phrase, which is also my url, is ranked #7!!!. I guess I was just a little impatient.

Well, yes, it's true, no one's going to search for a sentence. I was just "checking up" on Steven's claim that an article written by someone else can become the authority version when Google looks at it on our pages... he's absolutely correct on that and I was really jazzed to see that!

I have also done some keyword results checking. Been doing that since I started the blog so I don't know if wpunique had any part in the improvements I've seen. I've also been doing some backlinking during this time, so... I don't know.

kay...how about a little update for you on my little experiment with this plugin..

I used an Ezinearticle that has been republished about 20,000 times so far.
I complied with all terms of service...meaning

NO changing content.
Leaving hyperlink to author's site live.
Adding NO text links in actual article content going to merchant.

Within 15-20 minutes of publishing on my site I was listed ahead of original author.

Was on page 2 for that keyword until today when I got on page 1 . Where is the original author listed.? No idea. Not in top 10 pages of Google.

All I did was point a few bookmarks at this page- so I am really thrilled.

Hi Steven,

Purchased and installed the plugin this morning. I find some small problems, like if I change the keyword to url from

weight loss,Sell Products - ClickBank

it converts the term weight loss along into the clickable link, however if weight loss ends with a period, it does not convert it.

To overcome that I put

weight loss.,Sell Products - ClickBank

and that does the trick.

However, again, if the term weight loss is followed by a comma, it does not convert it.
So, next I tried

weight loss,,Sell Products - ClickBank

and that does not work.

Now what do I do ??

Quick question though.....When copying an article from like ezine and such...do you make an exact duplicate on you blog...including the author's sig box etc, or would changing some of the content like certain keywords and using the body of the article alone work also?

This question has been answered a couple of times in the this thread. It really is helpful for anyone interested in a thread's topic to read the entire thread before posting questions. I know this, because I made this mistake a few times myself! Only I got lambasted instead of gently reminded! :-)

Anyway, I will answer your question. It is NEVER, (NEVER!) okay to change anyone else's copyrighted work. ALWAYS read the Terms of Service at the Article Directory or website where you obtained the articles. You must leave everything intact, including the author's resource box and his links!

Well, most (if not ALL) article directories (especially Ezine) explicitly require
you to keep the entire article intact. That is body, resource box, etc.

I would strongly recommend you stay within these rules. That way, everyone's cool.

After all, look how well this approach is working with patlondon above...

But, if you really want to change your content around...

I would strongly recommend using PLR (private label) articles.

You can do whatever you want with those...

Could you confirm that the "Uniquify All Posts" setting includes pages as well? I saw the fix for uniquifying pages earlier in the thread, wondering if the latest version of WPUnique includes the ability to uniquify pages or if I need to modify the php file?

I'm an old man who didn't grow up with computers like you kids. I just started trying to make money on the internet since I retired. I have a really dumb question, after I use your software on my blog do I have to submit it to search engines or what? I don't think Google will find it just floating around out there after I publish it, or will it? I do create a sitemap and upload it to my server. I have about sixty sites that are WP or Sitebuilder Elite and most of them are about the Merchant Marines and working on offshore oil rigs because that's what I did and the only thing I know much about.

Steve, I've got a similar question. Before buying I had a blog with a 2 or 3 week old domain name that had been up for 3 or 4 days. I'd been submitting it to the search engines and pining it... but had the privacy turned on . It's not showing up for the url in quotes or main phrases.

Today & yesterday I put posts on and uniquified both posts at the time, but still nothings showing up in google.

Does the blog need sumbitting again, need to wait because it's new and will take longer to get initally indexed or has sumbitting the site to google while having privacy on just confused things?

Funny, my daughter had a homework assignment about "fuel" last week. She couldn't get her head around the fact that a bunch of folks live out "in the middle of the ocean" with drills deeper than the sea...

As I was explaining it, I realized how little I know (as you can see )

Anyway...sorry, back on track...Google WILL find you again.

They have an immensely sophisticated crawling system...(they've already found one trillion unique web pages...trillion!)

A sitemap, submitted to Google will just speed up the process.

Not having one will not stop the process.

Yea, I could tell you a story or two. I was sailing on Lake Huron the day and night that the Edmund fitzgerald sank on Lake Superior November 10, 1975. That was the same company I worked for and I had some friends on her when she went down. I put a video on FaceBook you can check out that was shot by a buddy of mine with an old 8mm camera that day. I put it on a DVD. you are probably too young to know about that incident but it was one of the most notorious shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. You may have heard the song about it by Gordon Lightfoot. You absolutely can do that...but if you've modified the synonyms and/or the keywords2URL files, you'll want to make a note of any changes you've made so you can reapply them afterwards.

A few backlinks should do it, absolutely.

Some articles just need a bit more link love than others...depending on the competitiveness of the niche, and how aggressive other folks have been in their backlinking.

2. When do you expect to come out with your auto-content plugin (trying to determine whether to purchase something now or wait for yours).

3. Do you have an affiliate program. I have a LOT of students who would buy this plugin in a heartbeat.

OK, here goes:

1. The "fast ranking" isn't the key benefit (in fact, I tell you how I rank quickly in my so-called sales pitch!). The key benefit is being able to syndicate existing content and out-rank it. I've seen no loss of ranking.

2. So many projects on the go!!! I WILL release my own autoblogging platform (or...and you heard this first...an even cooler twist on the idea) very soon. In the meantime, why not check out one of the freely available solutions (e.g. YAAB)

I made a mistake...

I screwed up ziping up the plugin file in this version.

How embarrassing...

You need to delete the files OUTSIDE the folder, and reinstall the plugin...

1. deactivate the plugin
2. delete the plugin
3. re-download WPUnique from your download link
3. re-upload and activate the plugin

That'll fix it.

I think the autoblogger idea sounds good. In fact I was just about to buy an autoblogger just now. Will I still be able to incopoorate your plugin and make my content appear as though it was the original content using autoblogging techniques? Or will I have to do that part manually?
Also one other question. Can I pull an article from a niche that is different to my target niche and still be able to rank with it? Let's say my website is targeting the niche weight loss but the article I pulled fro the web is aimed at the niche 'how to send a cat into space' or something like that, will I still be able to squeeze into a top 10 slot on Google?

Steve's plugin is great but come on, have some common sense!

Btw, you want to know how great this is. I set up a blog for my PA's son all about an online game he plays (he wanted to earn a few $$$ to buy a couple of new console games).

In just the first week he's now getting to the point where he is shopping of a new console let alone a new game!

The best thing is he knows nothing about SEO and he doesn't need to!

I set it up and showed him how to cut and paste, how to set the semantic spinner and where to go and get some good content from (all about Feline Astronaughts obviously cos that was highly related to call of duty!), how to set the title tag and anyway he's already making sales!

Only problem is that his Mum wants one too and I don't want her to make too much cos she might quit!

Still, nice problem to have :-)

I would try to keep my niche blogs in their own "silo" if possible, but if you want to have a general topic blog, there's no reason why not.

As for using an autoblogging plugin...yes, if you want to "uniquify" your automated content, that's what WPUnique is designed for.

Steven, one more question about your upcoming auto-content plugin... will it just pull from RSS feeds (so we're stuck with article summaries) or will it also pull full articles from article sites?

(I ask, because you suggested I use YAAB in the interim, and that pulls solely from RSS feeds which means I end up with a LOT of summaries instead of full articles).
