Can you see the two YouTube videos that turned up among the top-10 search results? These two videos are also, not surprisingly, at the top of YouTube's own search results for the same keywords.

So you can be damned sure they are EXTREMELY WELL optimized - online and off - for "increase height"... or are they?

Checking the number of backlinks for Video #2 indicated that - according to the Yahoo! Site Explorer tool - it has 17,812 backlinks (the vast, VAST majority of whom are absolutely useless from an SEO stand-point).

What about Video #1?

This video does better as a page-rank even though it is in the same row, because it is better positioned for eyeballs, and yet it has... hold on to your seats... a "whopping" 34 backlinks!

Still not convinced how easy it is to rank videos? Think the above is a fluke?

Alright, here's a raunchier example for your punishment:

The GOOGLE video on the right does not even show backlinks on any backlink checker (including Yahoo! Site Explorer) that I've tried.

And as for the YouTube video on the left: 6 backlinks...

... and this is a search result that has been up for MONTHS. I know that because I've been monitoring its position since late July of this year. It still hasn't changed.

Oh and it gets better... the vast majority of these backlinks - from a conventional SEO standpoint - count for nearly nothing! They are 0-rank pages within 0-rank domain names.

As for on-page optimization factors, look... include the keyword in your title tag, and even just BRIEFLY describe what your video is about, and you've nailed it with on-page optimization of your video page.

Because Google wants to keep the search results as VARIED across different mediums as possible; text, video and image...

If you can click a few buttons, you are pretty much set and ready for search engine domination.
