Is this only for tracking Organic traffic from Google? Or are you able to track the exact keyword searched in realtime for Adwords traffic too?

Also, are you able to go back into your stats to look up past searches? Although it does show them in realtime, it does store the data, correct?

Unfortunately, Google removes the Keyword string and stores that in your AdWords account so that it has become impossible to scrape this content from your own server, so keywords from the AdWords campaigns, no, these we do not get. (We used to!)

If you check your AdWords account, you should see this information relatively quickly.

But we do get the info from REFERRING SITES that AdWords advertises with and that send visitors to your website from the CONTENT NETWORK. (And that is also more than just fun to see, it allows you to find out which sites it is worthwhile to run banner advertising campaigns with!)

But we do get all organic keyword search terms!

On the other hand, if you are bidding for a keyword and you notice that organic traffic is roughly equal to the number of clicks you pay to AdWords, then you are actually competing against your own organic ranking and it is better to stop bidding on that keyword! The alerts in Keyword Catcher allow you to get a mail in your in-box telling you about it.

Yes, all the data is stored! And you can retrieve it in a format that you can configure yourself!

Yes, you can retrace the steps, but if you wait too long, the search engines will have updated the rankings, and the old result might not be reproduced. Therefore, we recommend that if you want to check up on the real page rank of the link in the SERP, it is better to check on the same day that the result is obtained.

The actual SERP is reproduced so you get to see what your visitor received as a result to his query. Very interesting in terms of checking up on who is competing against your search term and ranking higher on that 1st page!

The most potent of all advantages, in my view, is that you host your results yourself on your own server, not on any other server that offers the service for free. There MUST be a reason these services are free, don't you think? I would venture: at least this strategic information remains PRIVATE! No one else can take a "peek" at your stats!
