Without going into the action plan, the keywords, the themes, etc., what I really seriously like about this package and the last is that the articles are focused on PRODUCTS. That means that the people finding them are likely looking to purchase those products, and that the articles are easy to monetize with affiliate programs that pay actual commissions instead of with adsense, leaving you hoping you get more than a few pennies a click.

Think about it. If you're going to go to the trouble to build content sites with the hopes of making some money, do you want content that attracts buyers, or do you want content that attracts people who want to read about holiday traditions and stories?

I completely understand...my brain is fuzzy all the time.

Yes, the focus is on earning money from physical products. The previous WSO was for the hottest toys of 2009. This WSO is based on classic toys, BUT the best sellers in classic toys (such as the best-selling doll, board game, etc.).

The Action Plan covers which plug-ins work best for the system. There is at least one Amazon plug-in to make things easier.

Thanks Michael, this helps immensely. I was going to try and do it all myself - without direction - and this will definitely make it easier.

I've basically been out of action during the day over the past week or so due to family issues (with my grandson who lives with me), so I've been working until the early hours of the morning.

It doesn't help that I still have to wake up at the same time... I don't survive well on five or six hours sleep - repeatedly.

Are you referring to the Carousel plugin? If so, I've tried that, but it's too wide for the WP widgets.

Any other suggestions? (I believe you can't adjust the dimensions of the carousel.)

I obviously misunderstood what you meant earlier, because I thought you were saying you've included an Amazon widget in the themes.

Hi Cheryl! There is no need to use a plug in of any kind for Amazon. Just check out the "Widgets" section of your affiliate account...there are many different widgets in all different sizes. As far as the carousel widget, the 120X500 size is narrow enough to fit into the sidebar of any of the themes.

Hi Lisa,

I tried the Carousel - it's too wide and goes out beyond the sidebar. It looks terrible.

I have installed the Amazon plugin, but its quite fiddly and doesn't seem to hold the settings well.

I may ditch it if I have too much trouble with it.

All that said, I am not good at blogs. Static sites are my forte, but I'm learning more about WordPress each time I use it.
