Now, on to his backlinking report.

IMO this will clear up A LOT of misconceptions that people have about backlinks. His section about link velocity was able to summarize everything I needed to know about the concept (it's one of the few things that I yet had to fully understand). And I concur 100% with his section that talks about links from the same pages and same domains as this is the very concept that I use with my link-building campaigns.

The report basically gives you the unbiased truth about link-building -- learning them will save you from buying all the hype that is peddled these days (and there's a lot of them).

I believe that anybody who takes the time to understand the philosophy behind the concepts that Oz talks about in this report will be able to create and implement a link-building strategy that will easily push a website to #1 rankings.

But I have to be honest; the report isn't without its flaws. I would've appreciated a meatier section on what makes a quality link. I also would've LOVED a wrap-up (as Oz did with his Keyword Sabotage report) at the end on how to put these concepts to use. As of now, this report is perfect for the "what" learner but leaves the "how" learner to put the steps together on his own.

But then again, most people don't really need yet another strategy. In a way Oz did those people who find themselves who get easily distracted and keep switching strategies a huge favor -- because instead of dazzling you with the latest underground X-factor technique with guaranteed #1 positions, he just gives you the low-down on how to make sure your link-building efforts are not in vain.

I'm still willing to bet that you'd be able to put together an effective link-building campaign after this reading report. It takes about 10 minutes to read, and I'd read through it twice or thrice to make sure I'm really getting the concepts.

About 10 years ago in the U.S., at least, there was a minor trend where the born-again Christians wore "WWJD" bracelets to get people to ask them what it means and provide an opportunity to witness to them (What Would Jesus Do).

I might modify that as a result of your report and wear WWGD - to remind me what Google would do, to keep its interests in mind as I'm building my site's popularity.

Oddvar - what is it they say about statisticians? I understand what you are saying, but Mike has a good reason for what he is doing, and his intention is not mislead anyone.

Basically,
