I was very young when someone popped this question. I had no answer. Comparing me to a beggar, and then to an average Joe, and then to Donald Trump himself in the same breath made little sense. Forget beggar, I am not even just average... I have always believed, and everyone around me keeps reminding me of this. But I am no Donald Trump either. I always thought there were the invisible lines of differentiation between the rich, the elite, the middle class, and the poor. Invisible lines formed because the rich “have” and the poor “don't”. Rich are intelligent, elite are beautiful, middle class are hard working and beggars are none. That these invisible lines were formed due to the confidence level people have.
That is, Until I finally realized (and this one hit me like a ton of bricks)...
Confidence is an Illusion.
Let's take an example...
A heart surgeon is operating in an operation theater. He confidently uses his tools to cut off the arteries around a patient's heart with a knife-like-tool, and doesn't even seem to notice the blood on his hands, let alone be disgusted by it. He performs the surgery and beaming thanks to the success of the operation he walks out of the operation theater. Not a bead of perspiration on his brow. As cool and level headed as if a man on the vacation sitting on the beach sipping his champagne.
Would you agree with me that he's a confident man?
Yes... right?
As soon as he walks out of the theater, he is faced with another problem. Only this time its way beyond his own area of expertise. Its a nuclear bomb planted right outside his room, and his daughter is inside. The countdown is running and if he opens the door the bomb blasts immediately.
Is he a confident man NOW?
See? Confidence is context specific. Circumstantial, really. You can be confident in one area of life and be extremely nervous in another area. A man who knows how to deflect bombs like this can handle the bomb situation like a piece of cake. But put this man in the doctor's operation theater and watch him vomit in less than a minute.
So then, it really means that there is nothing like a confident person. Its just what a person is confident about. You may be good at driving fast cars, Donald Trump might have a heart attack if he has to drive a car like you.

Then is it beauty and a sense of fashion?
Yeah, right! And how many “ugly” people have you seen working as models in Hollywood itself? How many actors go under the knife to get the perfect butt and those pouty lips? A lot. So its not beauty. Not even in an industry that boasts of beauty. In all other walks of life, you can easily spot people of all levels of beauty. Besides, since when do we have a formal official definition of beauty? Isn't beauty supposed to be in the eye of the beholder?
HINT: Try and find out who the girl was that Hugh Hefner loved all his life... I guess there are only so many people in the world that are surrounded by as many “naturalistic” beauties as Hugh is.
So then its not even beauty.
Is it charisma?
Not really, if you consider the nerd that sits behind a computer screen writing a code all day long who's pretty successful at it. He may not be the most charismatic entity in the room, but when he talks about a particular technical problem, everyone stops and listens.
Is it the amount of money available for investment? I hear Mr. Trump himself was broke at a point in his life. Can't be.
Is it the level of education you have? Formal education? Not really, if you go and count the number of billionaires who didn't even finish high school.

I'm finishing up module 2 right now and I gotta say, this is a good product that is really going to help me out immediately! I like how it's presented in video format and is also download-able as an mp3 which really helps since I can listen to it in the car.

I just finished watching Laksahy's first video, and I got to tell yah this is some good stuff. He provides a ton of information (close to 3 hours of video and a 34 page e-book) that he explains it in a clear precise manner.
It's opened my mind to the way I think about how I approach different situations and the importance of goal setting.
