I've used this system for 6 years and have dozens of completed listings. I used the proceeds from this system to open my own auto dealership five years ago where I continued to use this system (exclusively on eBay) to sell countless vehicles.

This is an easy way for someone who doesn't mind getting out and photographing vehicles, to make decent money part time. Really, you can turn this into a nice little, professional-type niche business.

I bought Brians Motor Profits course approx a year ago.
My opinion? this is an excellent method. I knew almost nothing about car marketing and had used Ebay only occasionally over the years (mostly as a buyer, not a seller).

His course is a pretty large pdf, as I recall, and videos that pretty much spell out the whole process. He spends a lot of time showing the ways to present a car that work, as opposed to what most sellers are doing. And he shows you what cars you should be looking for – this is KEY, btw.

Compared to what is included in many wso's (and I've bought plenty) this is way beyond the typical '7 page pdf for 20 bucks'. If you've bought enough wso's and marketing products in general, I think you start to develop a sixth sense about whether or not the seller has actually done the business, vs. just talking a good story about the business. ...watching those videos, I was sure he has done what he says, not just giving some 'book report'.

As I mentioned, I bought this approx a year ago. …and like a lot of things/methods I’ve bought, I did nothing with it for quite a while.

I think I paid around $30 for it then. Many months later I started trying it out and I've had successes using his approach, and one vehicle that didn't sell. My cost outlay was hardly anything, btw. (You really have a small risk/cost in attempting any one deal, other than your time)

It's interesting that his plan gave me an idea which I since adapted to another selling website (not Ebay) and I find myself using his same techniques very effectively there.

At least in my own personal experience, he has answered the pm's I've sent him and when he re-shot the videos and sent me new copies, when I requested them. I believe he did this for those who requested them.

Granted this was all a long time ago, but I still regard him as an honest seller.

I've made good profits with cars priced as low as $2,000. These aren't always high-end cars by any means. In fact, I've made far better profits with cars that are semi-rare, but no where near "high end"

About a year ago I was selling cars for people for flat rate marketing fee on ebay and one problem was that ebay requires you to have a motor vehicle license to sell more than I think it's like 2 or 3 cars a year. I ended up having to create user logins for my clients, but ebay was still a pain because they see your ip, so I had to have the client set the accounts up. Well it was a pain in the butt.... does your system overcome these hurdles or make them easier to deal with in any meaningful way?

I know that eBay recommends you follow your state's rules regarding vehicle sales an they also provide information on each state. With this system, I also advise of that and specifically advise to market your service as a "marketing service." You are helping others sell cars and you are providing a service that the general public cannot do effectively.

It boils down to the fact that ebay won't let you post more than a couple of cars without a dealer's license. And yes you can market a car or other motor vehicle, but you are in a gray area with most states. I wanted to flip cars like I used to flip houses but a close examination of my state's laws revealed that I might be skating on thin ice. As I recall, in my state, as long as I did strictly marketing services for a flat fee (like a newspaper ad does) and not a commission, I'd be ok. I still had to have the car's owner create an ebay account (assuming he didn't have one), and then jump through a lot of IP related hurdles so that ebay would let me log on in their account, or either take your laptop to the car owner's house and use his IP, etc. I assume your course covers all of this? I think the issue of the legalities is of the utmost importance. People should definitely check out their state laws regarding selling motor vehicles before selling someone else's car or they could get into hot water. I don't like it.. but at least here in my state, thats the way it is. And ebay is very strict on compliance in this matter so there is that consideration. I'd love to know if you have any good workarounds for the eBay/IP problem cuz if you did, I'd be really interested in your program.

Yes, some states do prohibit many car sales without a dealers license while others do not. Again, I am marketing a vehicle for my customers and not selling it for them and my system stresses that. This would be similar to Autotrader. They come out and take photos of your vehicle and write an ad. Ebay is no different. To sell a car on ebay, there is a lot more to taking a few pictures and writing an ad. I've found that a lot of my customers do have eBay accounts but I have not had to use them. This would be a great alternative if ebay does not let you sell more than a few vehicles a year.
