I've purchased a lot of WSOs since I've been a member of this awesome forum. And I've learned something from every one of them. But most of us come from factory jobs or desk jobs or some other field that has nothing to do with sales. So we have no formal training in the psychological aspects of marketing. We don't really know the mechanics, we just throw something up on a page and if it works we keep doing it and if it doesn't we try something else. Most of the time, it doesn't work, which leads to a lot of our frustration.

We all tend to get so caught up in traffic generation and building backlinks and beating this system and that, and what we don't realize is that no matter how much traffic we get to that sales page, if that sales page is not written properly, we're not going to get the sales.

And whether we want to admit it or not, there are people out there who go to 4 years of college to learn the art and technique of salesmanship. And there are specific steps, written down in textbooks. So why do we think we can step from housepainting to Internet Marketing and instantly be able to write an award winning sales page?

I can honestly say that I've learned more about sales from AJ in the past couple of months than I have in my entire career, and most of my life I've been involved in some type of sales. I've just never had a formal education, so everything I've done has been trial and error. I am, however, just determined enough, and full of enough piss and vinegar, that so far, I've been able to make a go of it

I have been using the same techniques off line and offline for years.

The psychology in the Sales Video Formula is simple and very effective.

The short story is that I personally find long sales letters are too hyped, too long and do not fit the faster (MTV 3minute attention span) society we seem to be in.

So I tested a few of my sales techniques using simple videos and the conversions are excellent.

I am launching an offline business services company in January 2010 and that will go out with a sales video front end.

In the past I have used these to sell Business Coaching, Flu Vaccines, Property Franchises and of course IM products.

As for the $1M Formula, I know of another British IMer who is doing in excess of $140k per month with a video that converts at 8%, the video follows the same format as I have given in this product.

Personally, I started an IM company a little over 30 days ago and it is already reached the $60k/year mark and will reach $100k/year figures by the end of Jan.

My background is a mix of Big Corporate (I was a Global Product Manage for a Fortune 500) and then a series of SME businesses.

I am only just beginning online. These techniques are not related to IM specifically, just good old fashioned sales presentations, a mix of Behavioural Pyschology and some sound business approaches.

I really liked your video and the tips offered.

A few questions I hope you can answer:

1. Are you actually claiming 8%+ is possible for cold visitors to a page, or ones that have opted in to a list?
2. How do you implement this sort of a video? Do you do put it on the landing page? Or do you make the visitor opt in for a free report/whatever and then correspond via email to get them to view the video sales page? I'm just worried that the exposure to the actual video will be less with the opt-in-then-send-email route than if you had it on your main sales page to start with.
3. What does the sales page usually look like with a video like this? How much text do you have beneath/above it? All I have are examples of your WSO listings. An example would be great...

If you could answer these questions, I'd be very happy.

Hi Marcel

1. The 8% conversion was on recycled traffic. ie traffic collected on exit popups of other people's pages and sent to a squeeze page. The squeeze page just had an offer video following the template and examples taught in this training pack.

2. The video is on your landing page or can be behind a squeeze page if you want to collect names first.

If you choose to use this to recycle yours (or other people's) exit traffic I would not have an optin, just the video and the a "click here after watching this video" link beneath the video.

If it is a main sales page I would normally use a title, the video and link as described. If you have bought Josh Bartlet's Easy Video Player (a fantastic WSO) you can put both the optin form and/or a paypal "Buy Now Button" inside the video!

I am working on a few test examples with this (as I am a big fan of Easy Video Player) and will be posting the results inside the members area.

3. I will post a template sales page inside the members area and there are a range of the more traditional video squeeze page templates available to purchasers.

I choose to show the other WSOs because that is a universal format everyone here can relate to. Plus, the results were pretty amazing. I don't know of another paid for WSO that has had the kind of conversion rates I was able to achieve.

Following several requests I will be doing a "here's how I did it" webinar/video update in January showing both a detailed breakdown of these WSOs and the videos I will be using to launch my WSOs to the general public.

If you purchase before the public launch you will get to see all my behind the scenes footage. For commercial reasons I am not going to release that info before my launch.

However, I do include my actual sales templates (you can compare the live videos with the templates in side the members area), I have not held anything back and I have included a 20 min video walk through where I explain what to put (and why) on each slide of the template.

Again, I do not know of any training program that explains the how and why in addition to giving you the actual templates and the full 60min training video.

Of course I could go on about the bonus screen capture software, the other templates, the Success Q&A Webinar or the Psychology of Persuasion Bonus Webinar too, but that would be over doing it ;o)
