Hi

Is there an easy way to make the header smaller in height?
Is there an easy way to make the header with only a background color and using the default title and subtitle of WP?

Hi Jean-Marc

You can adjust the height with the other theme in my sig, but not this one - the emphasis on this one is on simplicity. You can choose to show the default WP title and subtitle though, and just upload a plain coloured header.

Last night I coded an update to this theme where you can choose whether or not to display the navbar too. This doesn't make for a shorter header but does make more of the content appear above the fold. This update will have to be released a bit later as I haven't updated the user guide to accommodate it yet, and I have to go get some food in because the kids are claiming to be starving. As usual

To those that have bought but haven't signed to the update list, now might be a good time

Hi Jim,

Just write on a normal 'page' (instead of a post) and then set that page to be your homepage via WordPress admin menu/settings/reading.

i like those series of product thumbnails appearing at the top where it points to amazon when you hover your mouse there... do you have to make them manually or the theme has it for you to insert them in ?

It's just an Amazon widget dropped into one of the widgetized areas. You can put anything you like there.

Abundance has masses more features. I've been hitting the booze a little with the rest of the New Year party people, but off the top of my head, Abundance...

is a magazine style theme
has eight widgetized areas
has custom fields so that you can easily insert payment buttons and prices if you're using your site to sell digital products
has a featured content gallery
can be configured so that the sidebars are on the left or the right
has two horizontal navigation menus that can both be displayed either above the header or below it
has additional page templates (blog and no sidebar)
has a javascript clock in the header
can be configured to show dates on post pages (or not)
lets you show or hide the blog title and description (if you're using a graphical header), and lets you show or hide pretty much everything else too if you like

I expect there's other stuff that New Year brain fog has got me forgetting, but the link is in my sig.
